- Ingra KI received a call as well from this Kelly Brown. She claimed I had been selected to receive a federal grant for $7000 & all I had to pay was $350. I stated I'm not sending any money for anything and she hung up the phone as well. Do not fall for this prank call!

- Faith PawlowskiI got a call from someone before I called Kelly Brown. I'm SURE that this is a scam now. This man calls from Washington DC and says that I was chosen from the government to give me $7000 in my bank account. I gave him my account information. I don't know why I did! Now I am going to go to a site and have it all canceled. It's very very deceiving! I've never got a prank call before and i was so happy to be waked up with my mom giving me the guy on the phone. BE CAREFUL!!! I'm probably going to go right to the bank and tell them to stop all payments. Have a good life! -Faith Pawlowski

- PhilAbout 2 hours ago I received a phone call from a guy telling me I had received a 7000 dollar grant, and grants you do not have to pay back. He told me all of this on the phone, and that I was supposed to call this lady named Kelly Brown. He gave me a Washington number and told me to call as soon as I hung up. I was in the car at the time, so I told him I did not have my bank info. I only had my card, a debit card, so he took that. when I got home, I went to the bank and told them. They immediately canceled my debit card, and ordered me a new one, and told me everything would be alright. If you have a debit card, give him the info, and then go and cancel it, that gets the fraud people closer to catching them every time, and you don't lose any money.

- J Nelson| 3 repliesRecorded message telling me it was a final notice from the IRS and to call this number. Knew right away it was a scam, but I called anyway. Foreign man answers and tells me I owe the iRS $2900 - and he cannot force me to pay, but if I don't all my assets will be frozen and i will be arrested!! After pitching his scam, he kept saying OK - so I said OK back each time - and when he said the authorities would be at my home shortly to arrest me, I said OK whatever and hung up. Did report to police who are aware of the scam, but cannot seem to do anything other than warn people not to ever send money to anyone you do not owe or know.
