They are asking me for 200 dls secure deposit to release $ 9,000.00 dls grant from government

Just stole almost 2 grand from me saying $800 was down payment for a grant and after they got my information stole money out of my account.

Trena, please go to your bank on the next business day and close your account and open a new one with a new number. Otherwise, they will drain you dry.

Also, since they presumably have your personal information, please place flags on your credit report with Experian,TransUnion , and Equifax.

Please also file a report with your local authorities, your state's attorney general, the FBI, the Department of Justice, and the FTC. You can also report this to the real US Grants website by going to http://www.grants.gov then click on support, and in the drop down menu, click on grant fraud. The number and email address will be listed at the top of the page.

Go to your bank in person and file fraud complaints, you also need to file a complaint with your local PD as well. You also need to file complaints here:

-  they  are   also  impersonating  DEA  officials  /  IRS  /  FAKE  LAW  FIRMS   etc....  with  threats  to  arrest you  unless  you  immediately  send money  via  wire   transfer /  western  union   to some   offshore  country  !!!!!   obvious  scam  !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you / give ....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam
