- Jubygirrl| 6 repliesThis company is from Process Service Bureau. Very rude and would not explain to me how they had my number associated with this other person. Would not come forward with any info and then told me "that's too many questions I'm going to hang up now". When I called back to get more answers she feigned not being able to hear me!

- Weirded out| 2 repliesThey apparently are calling me (well my parent's) about a payday Ioan I took out that I guess was never paid, even though I thought I had. Anyway, I told them I would like to settle but didn't have the money, wouldn't for a month, and the lady said okay, call back then to see if it had proceeded then hung up. Very rude. No asking for my recent number, my address or anything...it seems a little weird. The first three letters of the case number are my fathers initials as well, he had nothing to do with this.

- doesntmatter replies to Jubygirrl| 2 repliesI received the same call. We were not the ones they were looking for. So I called back to let them know they had the wrong number and the thing that I spoke to on the phone was no less than a raging [***]. She hung up on me so I kept calling until I got her again. She was useless. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she replied "whattcha needs to speaks to a supavisa fo?" But she did say that they only call a number one time. We'll see.

they have a list of all active (legit) collection agencies in the U.S. You can also find out (if they end up being legit) if they've been sued for violations of the FDCPA. I found out recently that one that's been calling me is a complete scam and I believe I found their exact location from investigating further and I'm getting ready to call their local police department about them. - tamara replies to Scared| 1 replyno they are not a legit company. they started calling me about a loan i do not owe, i am doing everything possible to stop the calls and i suggest eveyone else that receives calls from these criminals reports them to all appropriate agencies.
- Mom in Pennsylvania| 4 repliesA "Jamison Walters, Special Investigator" left a message on our home phone number for someone with our married daughter's name. He stated that she had been named as a respondent in a court action in which she must appear, and the order to show cause involves a restraining order. All this sounds very frightening. The message was left at 3 PM Sunday afternoon and stated, "You or your attorney have only 24 to 48 hours to oppose this matter." His final words were, "Good luck." Our daughter does not have our last name, has never lived at this address or been connected with this phone number, has no overdue bills and no incidents that would result in a restraining order. NO LEGITIMATE COMPANY would call at 3 PM on a Sunday and leave a message like that. My husband is very angry. Actually our daughter might wind up benefiting from this little situation since she is a law student specializing in fraud cases.

- SO in MOMy son received a call on his cell phone from this company telling him they were looking for me. They also gave him a case number and told him I was to call them back. I first tried a reverse phone look up, and was informed this number can't be accessed. So I googled the number and found this web site. I don't intend to call them back. I would like to know how they accessed our cell phone records, though.

- MikeA message left on my home phone number from Helen Reitz, Special Investigator, stating that I was named in a complaint that required a court appearance, left a case number, said something about a restraining order, recommended getting this information to my attorney since a response was needed in 24 to 48 hours, and said good luck. Less than 30 hours earlier I had received a similar message from Katrina Brown, Special Investigator, same info but a different case number and the phone number was 832-390-2131. I had called that number, since I have a pretty common name and was pretty sure I wasn't who they were looking for and when I googled it there were no reports on it but it was a number in Houston, TX.. Automated call with a long wait for the next available investigator. Woman that answered did give an address and date of birth for me to confirm which neither was ever mine. She gave two phone numbers and I asked her to remove mine from the list. Apparently that didn't work. So I wont be returning these calls any more.

- Nicole Cummings| 2 repliesThis person called me and informed me I have a fraudulent case against me and that if I will be summoned to court over a credit card I had cancelled four years prior. I am very weary of this caller, that has my phone number, address and social security number. What can I do and who can I call to see if this person is legit. He claims to be a private investigator.
