Ted Cruz asking for donations to abolish the IRS but on call back messages says the number is disconnected.

I answered the phone saying hello several times and then the line disconnected.  I tried to call back and phone line was disconnected.

Left no message

Just got a call as well. It came up as unknown when the phone rang but on my recent call list the number wasn't unknown but listed as 202-743-6970. Must be the NSA updating their new spy on Americans software.

Just received call from this number. Answered repeatedly, no response. Called number back and received message that number is no longer in service

Answered call then they disconnect.

Got call. Wasn't available. Called back, message said disconnected. Those libs just keep pushing. Jerks. :-)

Same deal at 6:53pm CDT, called back disconnected. NSA no doubt.

Got a call from the same number... Weird is that it was a few days after i purchased a new gun

Got it jus now n I'm in Chicago think its a dialer a list of random numbers that's what we do for collections but as for call back disconnected I can set my phone to forward calls to disconnected # sounds like that's what they did

How does the first person know it was from Ted Cruz? I got the same results as every one else...number disconnected when I called back. No message left. I am on TC's FB! Lol.
Political calls usually leave a message. It is a scam for sure!

Here's the deal and remember this cause I am only going to say this once. The call you have been receiving is not from the NSA it is merely a verification call from a lead source that is verifying that  your number is real. So they can sell your lead information for more money. As a verified lead. What they do is they get on an untraceable predictive dialer and call numbers that they have collected through a list generator.

I missed the call so I called it back and was told it was dis-connected.
I am sure someone is up to no good.

Get an "Air Horn" when or if you answer the call, blow the air horn ! !
The caller will think twice before they call you again.  A police whistle
works well too.

Got this call about 15 minutes ago.  Recording said it was a petition for conservatives to help stop Obama from implementing ObamaCare and the IRS and asking for an "Immediate donation".

These are calls from a conservative PAC. I get them all the time, any time I answer it is something about Obama, Taxes or Healthcare. Today it was about Obamacare.

PS. The NSA, KGB or any other intelligence agency doesn't need to call you!! They can already listen to you without making any calls.

My (fairly rational, I think) guess is that this is a scam rather than any sort of even quasi-legitimate PAC attempting to raise money for whatever they may say the reason is.   Any money raised likely benefits only the scammer rather than the political cause.  My advice is even if you agree with the message, don't give them money because you know nothing about the messenger -- and giving them money makes it profitable for them and others to continue with this sort of thing resulting in even more irritating nuisance calls.    

Incidentally, I've noticed that any call where the Caller ID info indicates a location (e.g.,  "Washington   DC" in this case) is a spam/scam call so I just disconnect all of them without answering.  They still usually call again and again, though.
