They called me caliming $3K pay now for IRS. Then got another call from 911 telling if I don't pay will get arrested

They called a client and said that he owed 3800. They refused to give me a supervisor or a number to fax my power of attorney to.

Claimed to owe money to IRS. Threatened to call the cops. Told them to go screw themselves.

They had called me today claiming to be IRS. Then some lady call me told me that it's the sheriff office and they coming to arrest me. I told her I didn't do any wrong after that she told me to call them back and tell the frauds that I would like to take care of this metter.

There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers in both Canada and the USA.

This number called our home asking to talk to my wife. They said a law suit is filed and they will transfer it to the supervisor. The supervisor says that she will be arrested in the next 30 mins to 1 hour. At this point she panicks and hands over the phone to me. I try to talk to the guy but he insists that he needs to talk to my wife since he can't divulge information to anyone else.. At this point I burst into laughter . Hang up and google the number and find this..

This number called (202) 751-2538 saying he is from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).  He has an Indian accent.  Claims he needs to urgently talk about taxes owed.  My wife who answered the telephone called me at the office to inform about this guy.  I knew about this scam from the past.  But someone should take action to stop these scammers from cheating unsuspecting innocent people.  

Look at the area code.  202 is Washington, DC
How could Washington, DC have something to do with CANADIAN Revenue?

It's a made up accent from IRS

Received 2 voicemails from someone at the number 1-202-751-2538 Ex.186 claiming to be from the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency).  He said that there was a complaint filed against my husband's social insurance number and that he was "going to jail" if he did not call back.  I tried to call back to chew these idiots out for being so dumb but the number does not connect.  I also called the CRA to report them.  

Guy wit an Indian accent, left message claiming that hi is from CRA and if we do not call back the police would come to arrest somebody ( I could not make out the name). We tried to call back to tell them they have a wrong number but there was no conection.

Haha I got the same call saying that my file has been downloaded to the court house and that they got paperwork and have to arrest me today.  I told them, okay go head come arrest me then.   Then he told me that have my attorney file paperwork when I am arrested.  CLEARLY, does not work for the IRS and does not know the law.  

This is a scam.  They called me and said they were from the IRS.  These people have called before Since I am of Indian origin and I can speak Hindi, I let him have it this time.  I cursed at him for so long and he didn't hang up since he know what I was saying but he was pretending that he could not understand me.  Boy it was fun :)
