Kevin Mason calling about some action against me... call back to avoid prosecution.... blah, blah, blah! SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!! So, first he called on a 'work' cell phone. Second, I work for the Federal Government and it's a Federal Government cell-phone number. Third, he obviously didn't hear my voice-mail message??? Hi, you've reached, XXXXX,  INTERNAL AUDIT DEPARTMENT, for the "BIA"...... Wow, what balls! My IT department now has this phone number.

Kevin Mason wants to help me deal with some vague criminal action that the Treasury Dept has entered against me. Mr. Mason has a peculiar foreign accent. Jeez these guys are getting creative. I've run out of # blockers so I guess it's time to buy one. Government agencies don't seem to be able to stop these calls, neither do the Telecoms who seem perfectly willing to charge for the blocking service once your allotment is full.

Just got the same exact call, Kevin Mason, wants me to call to avoid some vague Treasury Dept. action against me.  Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.  This sounds most definitely like a scam.

Another scam Robo-call.  More " government action will b taken".  I get one or another of these a few times yearly.

Kevin Mason called me too. If we don't call back and deal with this matter immediately, we will be prosecuted by the "magistrate". Okaaaay, whatever. Sounds like a good way for blocking services to get more business?

Kevin Mason also called me at 8:30 from Washington.  Also going to prosecute me if I don' call.

Some one named Kevin called saying i should call back to avoid procecution???? For what?????

Three times today Kevin Mason called ..... My husband and I are seniors and we are sick and tired of getting these calls.  There has to be someway to stop this.  .  We are just fed up
Day after day after day. Further more they have the guts to call back and keep leaving messages.
UNBELIEVABLE.

I received a voice mail from the above number around 6 p.m. today (08/22/16). I didn't get the caller's name but I DID hear some BS about a government action against me, having to appear before a "magistrate" (a term we don't use in the U.S.) AND the caller spoke with an East Indian British accent. A total scam, which is why I turn the ringers on my phones OFF because I'm bombarded with either total scams like this one or with solicitations for charities.

Oops! I forgot to mention that the individual who left the above voice mail said that he represented the Treasury Dept. Yeah, right!

Got the call today, too, at 12:30 pm Pacific time. Who is going to believe the guy with the heavy Indian accent is named Kevin Mason?? Does anybody really fall for this scam? I guess they do or these scammers would be unemployed by now. So very pathetic.

The IRS reminds people that they can know pretty easily when a supposed IRS caller is a fake. Here are five things the scammers often do but the IRS will not do. Any one of these five things is a tell-tale sign of a scam. The IRS will never:
Call to demand immediate payment, nor will we call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill..

Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.

Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.

Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.

Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

This Kevin Mason is quite busy.  I got "the call" from his yesterday.  Add it to the list of threatening calls I have received.

If I find you Kevin Mason, you will have your ass kicked!

Left message, he said, my name is Kevin Mason and I am with the U.S. Treasury department and you have to go in front of a jury and magistrate for a federal crime. I reported them to the U.S. Treasury department, I did not call that number"

I too received a call from Kevin Mason today from number (202) 753-0633, or that is the call back number he left on my voicemail.  Oddly enough,  two days earlier I received a call from Dennis Greg from (609) 299-1691, he also left a message on my voicemail.  Same man, same voice, accent and same message word for word with only the name and phone number changed.  How lame can they be?  I realize it's a robocall, but you would think that if they were that desperate for cash they would lay heavy on the due diligence to avoid such screw ups.  I am so tempted to call the Kevin number and ask for Dennis and vice versa, but worried I may get someone on bad day.  Just saying...
