Received a call from unidentified number. The message said it was the IRS, and that the police were going to show up at our house in fifteen minutes because  of past due tax bills. Demanded that we call 202-754-8074.

Also got this call...called Verizon wireless my carrier they put a block on it and said looks to be a scam # Indian voice on the phone and his name was Jack Cooper from IRS. ...and said all the same things as above including police will be at my door in a half hr.....to him feds will be at your door first.....and hung up.....call your carrier to make sure they have the number.....was told it was a # that charges you $19.00 a minute and tries to keep you on the phone...or to pay the IRS charges they say you owe.

I got the same call saying I was being audited by the IRS. Person sounded phillipino. Tried calling back and they hung up after 10 seconds.

Got the same caller on Verizon home phone who asked to speak to me by my namerom a caller who sounded an Indian claiming I have to call IRS within 48 hours for taxation fraud otherwise will be arrested and gave me the correct IRS 1800 # and they asked for my cell phone which I declined to give.

Live in NYC - got a call from this number, same scam with an Indian voice saying I've committed tax fraud etc. I started laughing at some point and he got angry! Not very professional, "IRS"  :)

I too got same kind of call stating that IRS legal legal lawsuit has been instituted against me! I called back but busy and no voicemail available. Looks like scam!!
