Called and claimed to be FBI investigating on behalf of IRS. They will hang up if challenge on their intentions.

Called and claimed t be from the IRS demanding thousands. They tell you to get a money order to pay it off at an IRS location or you will face court proceedings. If you question them, they hang up

they actually left a message on my answering machine and expected me to call them back!

left a message with caller ID replicating the FBI in Mankato at 5073872460, but told me to call back at this number. What [***]! No one calls you with threats of felony over the phone saying they're "investigating you". This "officer Smith" calling me sounds like a 15 year old foreigner who thinks he sounds convincing. What a joke. These no lives have nothing better to do!

They called saying that they were with the criminal investigation department of the police and that I needed to call them back because I was under investigation. Didn't call back...but it's a little concerning that they had my first and last name.

Got a call that call ID showed FBI (717) 232 8686. The message said that FBI is investigating……and asked me call back ASAP at (202) 754 8250. I called FBI and tried to find out that was wrong. I got an answer that was a scammed call and someone most tried to get money from me…….It is scary that someone even scams and uses FBI number and know my name to threaten me.

please don't be afraid of these idiots. They are from India. They cannot hurt you. they are using magicJack because it's untraceable. Report them to magicjack get the phone shut off

I also called and reached "officer Thomas Ryan" of the "FBI" who had a middle Eastern accent.  I said I had received a message to call them about an investigation they were doing on me.  I said, "Before I give you any of my information I need proof of who you say you are...Where is the FBI headquarters located?"  To which he replied "Ma'am, how you gunna calling me asking if this is a scam?"
I told him how ashamed he should be of calling people and telling them that the FBI is investigating them and he hung up.  I should also note that to be sure, I called the FBI headquarters and they confirmed my doubt.

They called my daughter at college, left a message threatening legal action and gave this number as a call back. Caller ID showed the actual number of the FBI's Atlanta office.  We knew it was a scam, so  I called them back and pretended to be a hysterically panicked college girl victim.  I was transferred to 3 different "officers". After keeping them busy for 15 minutes (and trying to control my laughter), I told them i was calling from my work phone and asked them to call my "cell", which they eagerly agreed to.  The number I gave was actually the local office for my state's Bureau of Investigation, and I really hope they called it.  Most fun I have had all week!

got a call from the Atlanta "fbi." Left a message claiming to be Officer James Anderson and told me to call back at 202-754-8250. couldn't really understand all that was being said but he said it concerned my identity. Not calling back.

I received the same call, the number they called me from was 803-648-0728 and asked me to call them back at the 202 number. What's scary is that they new my first, middle, and last name. Definitely not calling back. What a bunch of creeps.

Male, w Indian/Pakistani accent, poor grammar & syntax states, [sic] 'This message is intended for EXXXX MXXXX CXXXXX CXXXXXX. EXXXX this is officer Alex Morgan and I am calling from Crimes Investigations Department and the reason to give you a call in regard to inform you that we have received a complaint received against you. So the very moment you receive this message, I want you to give me an urgent call back to the division of FBI and speak with officer Thomas Rand (Ryan? Rean? heavy accent) regarding to your case file (filed?.  The hotline division to reach to the officer Rean is 202-754-8250.  I repeat again 202-754-8250 and if you fail to call this number then you are  the responsible person for further legal action so call me back at this number and get the information [sic]".

we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

Caller: "202"   arew  code  fraud  scam calls

For 2 days now I get call from 202 754 8250 saying I am suppose to call them back because I jus got a "gift" of$750,000.00 it is hilarious I blocked the number already

Did not call this number and wish that you could stop this scam.  Name Mark Greenwood  had info from Nevada with a 2nd place reward win. Phone number 292-754-8250

Randy Powers called. Seemed extremely convincing at first. They know recent activities, online habits and even that i send western union to pay for a family members phone. Then he tried to convince me that im on trial for being a terrorist due to my western union money sending.
