They claim they are the IRS who is suing you.

called cell saying that IRS has filed a lawsuit against me.  IRS does not call. They send notices.

I just received a call from this number and the message said the same exact thing. Claiming the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us.  They don't leave recorded messages. What a scam!!

They just called my wife and threatened to sue her.   Recorded Message.

Same. Called claiming to be IRS, who were suing me.

They have called me 3 times today, so far. I have always let it go to voice mail and it's a recorded message saying to call them back, not who they are, just call them. I wish they would quit calling......

This is a scam. IRS does not call you. They will send a letter and most times it is certified mail. Do not send any of your money to whom ever is calling you from the phone number 302 766-7125 or any other numbers.

I got a call from this number  1-202-766-7125 on friday of feb 26, 2016 they left an automated recording stating that they were the IrS and I was being sued and had a law suit against me. claiming that I owed back taxes. What the hell???? They also said I owed $6,000 in back taxes and they will get everything I own!! if I didn't pay them. I called IRS and they are not open on weekends so how the hell is she calling from IRS?? What is this Bull????

Thank goodness I am finding this stuff out now!  The devil is busy!!!!

Received multiple automated recordings on my VM  from 202-766-7125 on 2/27/16. The message is to call them because the IRS is filing a suit against me and they can help.

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.   Block and ignore.   DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!

IRS does not initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.   IRS does not file lawsuits.  IRS has enough administrative authority under the IRS Code and related regulations to collect all taxes lawfully due the federal government.     Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes.  IRS has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of  money.  IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone.   IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.    All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

Yep. Another call from yet another voice-recorded IRS scammer.  Don't answer, don't call back, don't reply.  Just delete the message and block on your smart phone.
