Just called me ..caller ID says ACU

This number just called me a moment ago. Caller ID showed as "Anonymous". Did not answer. No VM left.

Just called house #, I answered but hung up bc no one answered me.  Then they called my cell # and did the same thing, no one answered me.  No VM left here, either.

No answered when I picked up...dead silence.

I believe that this is the Phone Number of the ACLJ. They are a non-profit organization that looks for funding to support legal actions against violations of religious freedom of expression... Among other similar interests.

This number calls Daily - caller ID reads ACLJ.  When you answer and it's dead silence, it's the system waiting to hear your voice to activate the call. Also, when you answer it tells them the best time to call because someone answered at that time of day.  The ACLJ is the American Center for Law & Justice and based on their website they represent a number of different causes.  

They call and don't leave messages, typical tactics of scum telemarketers.

This is the American Center for Law and Justice calling to take our money.  They have been harassing me for months and won't stop.  They call from many numbers including 770-648-2508 and 202 770 2269.  They are a right wing political organization  hiding behind the charity clause in the TCPA, but in reality are just a bunch of political telemarketers led by Jay Sekulow.  They should be banned from using the TCPA exception.

I received a call from 202-770-2255 ACLJ ~ no message left ~ s few minutes later call came in from 202-343-3764 UNKNOWN ~ again no message

I've saved this number to my caller ID under "scam" so if they call again I'll know to ignore it.

Fraudulent scam type call from 1-202-770-2255

Just received a call from (202) 770-2255. I did not answer but the caller ID reflected this as a call from Washington DC. After reading other post on the site other folks stated they are from ACLJ. If this is true I am familiar with this Christian organization. ACLJ is on a regular daily show on a Christian radio show I regularly listen to. The host is Jay Sekulow. This is a legit company and yes, they are either looking for signatures on a proposal to Congress and/or against a bill the President Obama has submitted or they are looking for contributions.

this number keeps calling me.. So I called it back all you get is a recording.. according to the recording they are a non profit.. I am calling the FCC I'm tired of them calling everyday and not saying a thing..

Caller ID says "AMCTRLAWJUSTICE".  They leave no message.

I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number).  I hear "We're sorry your call can not be completed at this time.  Please, hang up and try your call again later.  Thank You"  Then it hangs up.

So they don't seem to be able to be called back.  This makes me doubt that this is actually the ACLJ.

spoofing ACLJ to denegrate it, prolly the ACLU which seems to take the side against 1st Amendment right to freedom of religious expression.

Received a call from 2027702255. They've called at least once a day for the last few days. So today I answered. The lady butchered my last name so I told her she had the wrong number. She never identified herself or where she was calling from. I just figured it was a scam. Once checking on here I realized that it was the ACLJ. If you've ever signed one of there petitions, they will call you periodically asking for donations! You can call back and be put on your do not call list!

I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, but if this is indeed the ACLJ, it is a very good organization that has helped a lot of people, legally fighting for people's rights, even the rights of those who aren't "right wing", JIm - LA.  We should all support their efforts to keep our rights as our country's forefathers meant them to be and to keep us free from tyranny of any kind from any source.   Nothing is free - especially not the battle for freedom - so we should be thankful someone is willing to take up the challenge and fight and give them whatever help we can to win, whether it be financial, signing petitions, prayer, or whatever other support we may be able to provide.  Someday you may need them yourself, you never know, and you'll be glad someone is helping them be able to afford to help you.

I have been receiving Calls from this number...every dam day for the last week. They do not leave any message.
I finally used a land line to call the number to see who has been calling me and it turns out that it is a solicitation call from The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) think Jay Sekulow Live (on Radio's hosting "Christian" Radio.  When I called a recording came up with one of the choice being to be placed on their "No Call" list.  Hopefully the calls will stop!  I have no idea how they got my number. Calling and hanging up is bad business practice for a legit "Christian" Not for Profit organization.  If this was really an honorable Non-Profit they would leave a message and not just hang up!  Shame on them!

I hope you do call the FCC and something can be done about this, it is wrong.  I am also familiar with Jay Sekulow and I am surprised they would use these harassing tactics.  They do good work, but if it is them they need to stop these harassing calls.
