Calls everyday...no message

Harassing phone calls. ALA shows up on the caller ID. ALA calls every day from a different number, usually from the 202 area code. They never leave a message. I'm blocking this number too.  

Everyday at different times.  How do you block a landline?

I answered, sat there a couple seconds and nothing, said Hello? they hung up

Caller ID just says "Anonymous".

Caller ID showed only Washington DC. All calls go through my answering machine, no message was left.

This # is the American Lung Assoc. If u call the number back you can have your number removed from call list

I am always glad when I check out a phone number that I don't know and they don't leave a message, I do NOT give any donations over the phone or promise even if they send an envelope.  And since they (non-profit organization) can call as much or as many times as they want or until they finally give up. They are exempt from the DNC list of numbers. I am not surprised they did not leave a message and I would not have answered when it only shows a phone number as the ID information. Called at 1:34 pm on 8/22/2014.

These guys are "frequent flyers" -- besides calling a lot, there's never a message.  I guess they're aiming for a sneak attack.  Caller ID reads, ALA, which I'm reading here is American Lung Association.  Who knows whether they're spoofing ALA.  In any case, it's bad publicity for ALA.  As always, we never pick up, even when we're home.  These guys are on Red Alert with a lot of others.  

caller id says ala, as stated above you never can tell when a number is being spoofed.  I have seen my own number shown on caller id and several other local numbers that I found out were being spoofed after trying to call these local numbers back.  I also never donate over the phone anymore.

Yep, this organization uses a lot of different numbers, none of which I answer.

This was a telephone call that interrupted a message I was leaving at my doc's office, messed it up, so I was irritated.  I called back to verify source.  It is the American Lung Association.  Press 1 for more info on the ass'n or to be removed from calling list.  When that recording comes on, you are asked to press 3 to be removed from the list.  Then you are prompted to input your 10-digit number that you want removed.  The first time I was not fast enough and the number it read back to me lacked the last two digits.  I tried again and this time the full number registered.  I was asked to press 1 to verify that the number was correct and they state that they have up to 30 days to get it removed from their calling list.  

Just received this call-dial tone on answering machine

This number called for my mom who passed a away almost 2 years ago~ i had already asked to be removed last year when they called! Looks like they never did it!

They call daily, caller id says ALA, don't answer and have turned off answer machine to prevent letting them get an answer and leave any blank or actual messages.  These people hardly ever leave an actual message unless it is the credit card service people

I did not answer. No message left. I just blocked this number. Received a call yesterday (Sunday) from 202-650-6149. I did not answer that one either. No message left either time. I blocked that one too.
