Got a call from this number Telling me irs it's filling a lawsuit on me

Called at 7:35 in the morning and left a recorded message. The first part was cut off, but the message said ...gainst you. To get more information about this case file please call 2027904390.

Yep.  Just received 2 calls from the same number.  One left a voicemail - the exact same automated message.

yes me too...this morning...does it any who is calling?  and could this be true?

People are not notified by phone, telling them a law suit is being filed against them.  All legal notifications are handled by snailmail or in-person delivery of documentation.

To reassure yourself, call your County Clerk of Courts, and ask if you are being sued.

Bottom line:
It was a scammer who called.

Just got a call from this number, again, so I decided to answer, it was an automated message to return their call ASAP.  So I did, the man that answered could barely speak English & asked for my name and SS # calling me "honey".  I informed him that since they called me they should have that information...he laughed call me honey again.  I told him that they are not to call me again as I knew this was a scam, this is not how IRS does business.

I received over 25 calls from this scammer. They ask you to send money through Moneygram not by check or credit card. Be aware!!!

Received call this a.m. started with, "About this case, call our department immediately at (202)..."

Just came home to find the same message on my phone. Since I just cleared up a problem with the IRS and have a letter from them stating I owed them nothing I found this call worrisome because sometimes the IRS does not get their act together.

they are scammers give them nothing.they use magicjack almost all the time because it's untraceable and cheap..magic jack website as a page to complain and get the number shutdown

I just received 2 calls from this number.  Its a scam.  And the government never does anything over the phone. only through the mail.

Received a call from this number.  The message was that I was being sued by the IRS and told to call this number for information regarding the case.  It is obviously bogus, and could easily be a scam to get me to call the number which would then reroute the call overseas or ???? so that the charges are $60, $100, $140, etc.

Received call today, same number same announcement, it's a scam.
Went to IRS site to report it and the paperwork isn't worth it.
No wonder they can't stop these criminals

Same as the rest, fake call. Interesting it called again! and left a second voicemail, and in the voicemail repeated the return number to call back.  I do not know why Sprint,Verizon is not blocking these at the phone system level.
Amusing note, the voice on the voicemail says 'a lawsuit against (pause) you', mine just said 'you' I wonder if the pause was looking up custom names if they have them.
