Spanish speaking man states that his name was Officer Alex Watson  from th e treasury dept was calling  from 202 795 1580 in ref  to a criminal case against me  from the federal government Treasury Department  to pay $160.000.00 or have  my legal rep contact them

Got a similar call. The accent was so thick I could hardly understand, although I thought he sounded more middle eastern. I made out a few words, criminal charges, a phone number to call back and I better call or good luck to me. Didn't even say who they were calling. Sick of all these ridiculous calls. If it were a legitamit complaint you would have got something in the mail.

I got a message from "Officer Alex Watson" who said they were from the legal department of the IRS and that there's a criminal lawsuit against me - but never named who they were talking about.  They gave me a case number, phone number and they threatened me that if I disregarded their message, good luck to me as the situation unfolds on me.  The person has an accent but I don't think it's Spanish and I think it may be a woman calling.  The number is 202 795-1580 and the caller ID says the call is from the District of Columbia. I'm on the No Call list but I get calls every day and most often several times a day from various "Unknown", "Out of Area" or the name of a state, like "New York" or "Pennsylvania".

Alex Watson is a man of many accents! Called me today as well.

Received two back to back calls from and Officer Alex Watson from the IRS.  Suggested there were criminal charges against me and that I was to call back or have my retained attorney call back.  Threatening tone.

Got the same message on my phone. He sounds Hindu or Indian of some sorts. Fake fake fake!

Got a call from officer Alex Watson gave me a case number, at first I thought it was real, but then I said the IRS does everything by mail.

Did you respond to them? I got a similar call??

Got a call from "officer alex watson" stating criminal record with the IRS. Threatening tone and sounds completely like a scam.

I called him back and he " Officer Alex Watson" answered the phone. I asked for Alex Watson and he said " he is not avalible at this time" and hung up on me. I highly doubt someone from the IRS is going to hang up on me.

"Officer Alex Watson" called about an hour ago. He has an accent and sounds a little like a girl. "Legal Department Of Internal Revenue Service". If he doesn't hear from you he says "I wish you a good luck as the case unfolds on you" Foreign Scumbag!

This happened to me he said the exact same words. When I replied I haven't done anything wrong he hung up on me.

Just received the same message. Scary.

Same call scared me but then realized the IRS is not criminal charges - bunch of bs they don't make sense any money issues would be civil not criminal as it doesn't have to do with a person smh! Good luck to them trying to scare people half to death, they must have gotten a hold of our numbers from a system or vendor smh!

Same exact that happened to me. I called back and said someone left me a message from the IRS he said no stop calling this number and he dropped my call. I knew it was a scam because the IRS will not have done that. Don't believe a word he says

I got the same message verbatim.  What an [***].  Does he not have anything better to do?  I actually tried calling the number because I was pretty sure it was bogus and wanted to [***] him out for leaving the ridiculous message.  The call wouldn't go through - it rings once and then nothing or it doesn't even ring.  I wonder how many people he has called and for what reason?

Officer Alex Watson called claiming to be with the IRS claim they have a criminal case against me and will be at my doorstep upon completion of the call to arrest me.  Called my local sheriffs department said they believe it may be a scam!
