This time it was recording telling me there is a lawsuit against me and  I need to call the IRS immediately and gave me a different number to call same area code 202 the last four digits were different it was telling me that the IRS was suing me which we all know is fake the IRS only notify you by mail if you owe them money they do not call your house I pushed 5 to make it hang up it didn't work I push to it didn't work but when I push 0 and hung up there's a new system that if you get a call from an automated system trying to sell you something you can either put five or two and it will hang up the Call

Fake/Illegal IRS call, similar to complaint above.  Id'd from "Dist Of Columbi".  Distinctive black-voice on caller, he'll probably be in jail soon.

I got a call from this number, my phone caller ID says "district of Columbia". Male voice recorded a message about IRS actions against my name. At the same time he didn't say what is my name exactly, just in general "against your name". I would say it's a fake IRS. Don't trust this person..

Got a call this afternoon a guy from IRS to call back..ppl don't be fooled its a trick and just a huge scam to get personal information from you

Scam!!! The caller lives over seas they use magic jack to steal money ..Just hang up on them

Yeah I have got at least 3 calls so far this year from this (these) dip [***] 202-795-2892. I have to admit they had me going about being in troubled with the IRS, This person really lays in on thick, fines, jail, take my house, car, bank accounts, warrant out for my arrest, just hang up.....I sure hope they get caught soon because when you impersonate a federal official you are looking at some serious jail time. And I know that at 1st it really had me worried. So please don't take it seriously just another #%&^%(*@ trying steal from honest people.     The IRS will not contact you by phone.
