IRS Scammer

Peter you think this is something to personally take as just a scammer ? what are they scamming?

I received calls from this number and called back.....  All claiming to be from the IRS but when they answered they wanted to put me on hold. first time I held for a couple of minutes and then called back. Middle eastern accent. When I called back he seemed to have been stumbling over his words and I just hung up. I am a little concerned that he didn't ask for anything and wanted to put me on hold so he could retrieve my information. Is there anything to worry about ? Other than reporting it to the IRS is there anything else I should do?

The IRS will never contact you by phone.  And they don't care if a scammer called you so don't bother phoning them.  Relax, you're safe...  But you do need to learn to ignore scam calls...  Look at your caller ID, listen to your audible call screening feature, and check here to see if there are other complaints about the number.  Don't answer.  Most scammers hang up without leaving a message while your outgoing message is playing.

...what do you think they are scamming?  Money, identify theft, personal information.  Good grief, were you born yesterday?  Don't answer!

They say their the IRS and I'am being sued by them and to call back. What idiots.
