This # calls 2-3 times a day!It comes across as account services.My daughter is very ill and every time my phone rings I think it is bad news.I have a hard time walking so it is very upsetting to me when I struggle to make it to the phone only to find out it is some telemarketer.I AM on the do not call list but obviously that no longer works.Wish there was a way short of having my phone disconnected that these calls would stop....

Hi  If you have Verizon you can block the number, however, they have multiple numbers and you will need to call block each one. This has stopped the calls for me.  Other phone companies have this too.  With Verizon you can log on to Verizon.net (set up a user name/password) and go into my account then my services and find digital voice follow the prompts and look for "Block Incoming Calls".  Make sure you activate it.  It's part of my package so it lets me block 10 numbers.  I wish it was 100.  You cannot block 800 but you can 866 etc...

Forgot to mention when you see my services click view all.  Then look at the bottom where it says "FIOS Digital Voice and click view all.  Then you will see the "Incoming Call Block"

Spam, telemarketer for credit card debt. I need 10,000.00 to be consider. I don't have a problem paying off 10,000.00 debt.

This number was a missed call on my caller ID log.  Apparently being listed on the 'Do Not Call' list doesn't help with these sort of calls.

Caller ID said Account Services. When I answered it was silent.

really???  is it necessary to call me like 3 times a day?

Calls multiple times a day and I keep clicking to be taken off their call list. and they STILL call. I am on a national do not call list and I still get calls. I am reporting them!

Automated call everyday trying to get me to sign up for Obama's insurance.

Repeated calls; usually they're using a "free" security system pitch, but I wouldn't put anything past these jerks.  All they really want is your credit card info so that they can rip you off.  I sincerely doubt that they are actually selling anything at all.

Bottom line:  If I want to buy something, I call THEM.  If They call ME, they get zip-zilch-nada-nothing.  That goes for political spammers, too.  You want my support, FIX WHAT'S BROKEN and then we can talk.  Until then, I'm assuming that you're bought and paid for by people who want you to keep me misinformed.  I can see who's pulling your chain, make no mistake - and when the revolution comes, your ass will be against the wall with the corrupt bank presidents and stockbrokers and loan sharks.

all I heard before I hung up was open enrollment for obama care.  The first time they called I blocked the number and now they have called from the following numbers at least:  740-475-2663,  740-475-2663, 740-475-2663, 706-622-4652, 202-803-4951.  YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING". DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS. DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED! When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one and then they sell your known active number to another scammer. Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). Add to that that there are 800 possible area codes.  The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers times 800 more to copy and paste to).

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, , and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It’s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller,  but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.  My home phone blocks 30 numbers but the address book holds 3,000 numbers.  I save each call as spam and don't answer it.

The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and what they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)

Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

Received a call from them a few minutes ago ~ guess this will be another round of harassing calls from a telemarketer despite the fact that I renew our phone number every year to try and avoid these.  It's bad enough we can't stop the political, charity and other calls.... so what good is the do not call list?   Remember how nice it was before telemarketers started bugging people and the only time your phone rang was when a family member or friend would call?   Back then even the telemarketers had scruples so when you asked to have your number removed, they were polite to you and did it.   What a rude world we live in today.
