Why doesn't some one put a stop to these annoying calls?

This has been going on for over 2 months now. I am on the do not call list. There is never anyone on the other end if I pick up, and no message is ever left. QUIT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you report it to your local police department where you live they have to do the investigation about any harrassing phone calls which is what I would say these calls are. I get them at least once a day and sometimes twice. Go to your police department and fill out a report and they will do the follow up.

american lung association. call back to a machine and follow directions to remove your number. that is what i did.

Unwanted call

I keep getting calls from these out of state numbers and you run to answer and it hangs up. I am a Senior and it is hard to walk as it is.. Stop thes calls 1-202-810-0581

The reason a large portion of the people are having trouble with this number is because this number is being "Spoofed" by Delta Outsource Group, a collection agency located in O'Fallon, MO.  They will try and gather enough information to create an account.  Many bank accounts have been drained by this establishment and many "Spoofed" phone numbers have been fraudulently used to aquire information.
This not only hurts people by the harrassment, but also hurts the establishment that the number belongs to.

Got a call from this number. When answered whoever it was hung up.

Actually you can report it to your local phone co. And keep track as to how often they call i.e. for a month. At that time you have a history recorded and the phone co. has to investigate and send them a letter to cease and desist. If the party continues to call the phone co. Takes away their privilege of having a phone..forever!

They just called again, and I answered the phone "who are you, and what do you want?"  The line just goes dead, and then there's a click.

How am I supposed to report these people if they won't leave a message, talk to me, or anything?

I had to downgrade my phone service so I can't block the numbers.  So frustrating.

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers and  scammers  working  out  of , but  not  limited  to.....  in  INDIA /  THAILAND /  AFRICA /  JAMAICA    ETC....

***   THESE    LOW  LIFE  LOSER  SCUMS  ALSO   IMPERSONATE   US  GOV'T  AGENCIES AND   OFFICIALS  (   CIA  /  FBI  /  IRS   )    AMONG  MANY  OTHERS..........


they  will  at  times  leave   obviously  fake  messages   that   they  " have  caught  you "  in  some  type  of  mysterious   drug   operation  and    related   fake  stories  / messages"...........(  just  one  of  numerous     fake  stories  )....others  noted  below.............

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

Caller: 202 AREA CODE FRAUD SCAMS / FAKE CALLSCaller: 202 never ending fake / fraud scams

I get calls from one or another of these "202-810" numbers every day and sometimes twice. Thanks for this service which confirms that they are bogus. I ALWAYS report these calls to the government Do Not Call Complaint department online and hope everyone does. It is important that these are "spoof" calls as the American Lung Association is a legitimate and helpful organization.

Please report these illegal calls!

We get these calls from 202-810-0581.   And they hang up when we answer...
It's an uneasy feeling when it happens too many times. It's like someone is checking to see if we are home or not.

Block this as well as any other fake numbers that rings you, and there's no need to feel uneasy. If it makes you feel better, report this number to the police.

why do you people even answer the phone? You're paying about $10/mo for ID, right? If I get a call from a number that I don't know...4 rings and it goes to the machine because I'm not lonely. punch in the numbers of your friends relatives and don't answer any others.  Simple, no?  I'm on the DNC list also, what a worthless law, I'm not going to bother renewing anymore...just STOP answering the phone.  geeze.

Believe this is a scam

Calls from this number every day. Never leaves a message. If you pick it up there is a hang up. Awful. Harassing.  202-810-0581

Every couple three days, I get calls from this 202-810-0581 number. Whenever I do, I open to it but don't say anything. For ten seconds while the line is still open I wait for the caller to say something. They never say anything within that time frame, then I hang up.

With other unknown calls, which I've done that shakes their tree, I answer the call in a strong directing voice with these first words only, "What are you selling?" And wait for them to answer, They are programmed in their speech to start off getting me to like them first before they start selling their product. By my introduction, they turn into defensive mode and don't know how to respond. Regardless as to what takes place, I say nothing more and hangup. Try this method sometime, its fun!

These people are pissing me off. They've used three separate phone numbers now. I've blocked two (below) and now this.
