Caller ID is "cancer update" - several calls now - no message left

some man with a foreign accent called and said there was a problem with the windows system on my computer, and wanted me to turn it on so he could show me the problem...said he was with "windows"....I told him my computer was protected and didn't need his help, and I hung up !  He kept saying it was a legit call,  but I was not about to let him have anything off my computer....believe it was a scam !!!

Caller ID lists "Cancer Update."  Bogus, bothersome, and unwelcomed.

Received two calls from these pests. 202-830-1988 and 202-830-1824. I added the first number to my Selective Call Blocking 6/24/14 and the second 6/25/14. I informed the caller that my number is on the Federal Do Not Call List as well as the Florida Do Not Call List and that I insist that my information be deleted from their databse immediately and that my number be placed on their Do Not Call list.

This number keeps calling me.  I have picked it up twice.  There was no one there either time and it hangs itself up after 10 seconds.  I just want the calls to stop!

Just got a call, CID showed Washington DC.  Went to answering machine.

Did not answer but caller ID displayed AICR.  No message left on answering machine.

Same as Chuck L. Annoying.

American Instituite for Cancer research.  They want money. What else is new ?

202-830-1988 and 1824 calls daily. I blocked these two numbers so that my phone doesn't ring, still daily calls from these two numbers on my phone log. Boggles the mind that some people have nothing better to do with their time than to make spam calls.

Numerous calls from "AICR" but no messages. Using more than one number.

Who knows where these scumbags are located? I want to know WHO is calling, where they can be found and any other information about who is making these harassing calls.

I received 10 calls from 202 830 1988 from June 28, 2014 and July 17. I was able to answer the last call and informed them  to stop calling me,  and that my phone number was on the National Do not call list.  Hopefully the problem will now be resolved.

Called again and left no message. Caller ID Says AICR. Ironic that I had just opened a American Cancer Society "2014 Fund" letter from John R. Seffrin asking for a gift. He didn't list his phone number... No more gifts, that's how they got my number in the first place. Leave me alone.
Also calling from 202-1830-1824 and leaving no message. Never again will I contribute. Never.

Another call in history with caller ID listed as Cancer Update. Scam or Cancer Society makes no difference. Leave us alone.

Even though I've blocked this number so that phone doesn't ring, my phone log is showing daily calls. This morning they tried to call at 6:00 AM! These scumbags need to be shut down.

I have been getting 2 to 3 calls a day from AICR ( on my caller ID ) and when I have answered, there is no one there and no message has been left on my answering machine.  This is so annoying and I would like it to stop.  My number is already on the "DO NOT CALL LIST " but they still seem to get through.  Frustrated.  I just don't answer anymore.

My mother received a call asking for money,she said ok. Now we get calls every morning 11-11:30 am.
Lesson: DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO ANYBODY THAT CALL FOR IT! THEY PASS YOUR NUMBER ON TO OTHER SCAMMERS

They called.  The CID was "AICR", which I did not recognize so I didn't answer.  They left no message.  This must be some kind of scam since they keep changing their ID and message.  Note that this is only one of hundreds of useless calls I get from the 202 area code.  I plan to block it altogether.

AICR keeps calling me 5 times a day. it is so enoying.
