The number appeared as a wireless caller on my home phone caller id. When I picked up the male voice on the other end asked if I was home and I answered it was me then he hung up.

This number called .. a man asked for someone who I had not heard of ... after a pause he started to talk .. I hung up

As with Marie above, the number appeared as a wireless caller on my caller ID. I was not home, and the caller left no message.

Called. I didn't answer, since I didn't recognize the number. "Caller" left no message. Blah blah blah. Wish these persistent scammers and telemarketers would put this much energy into curing cancer or ending child neglect or feeding the poor. Mostly, though, I just wish they would stop calling ME. I will never ever ever ever ever buy something from some unknown entity who calls me unsolicited. Who are the people who do???

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Woman said she was taking a survey.  First subject was several questions regarding Common Core Testing.  The switched to Insurance questions and then investment questions.  I refused and hung up.

Has called several times asking for my husband.  Shows on caller ID as Washington DC.  Tell them he is not here and they say they will reschedule the call.

Called and asked for my husband I said he was not here can I take message she said no she would call back. Said she was calling from iv broadcast. Said she could only talk to him about confidential matter

This number called and left no message.  We do not answer unknown numbers.  We blocked the number.

Called my house at 10pm asking for my son, when I said he is not in and please do not call my home after 9pm they hung up.

I received the call on my land line.  It came up as Washington, DC on my caller ID.  Since I did not recognize the number, I hung up the phone on the second ring without answering.  I am on the Do Not Call List, but apparently that does not do a whole lot of good.

I decided to go along..1st question was my opinion of Common Core. I said, strongly oppose.
The he asked for my birth year. I said, I refuse to answer. 'Who gives personal information over the phone?'
He then said, if I don't give my birth year the survey is over. I replied, 'okay, goodbye.'

202-836-8014 came up on caller i.d. but did not answer. Didn't leave a message.

Didn't answer the call was two early before 8.Am in the morning today. Please do something I'm sick of it do something about it it is annoying and I think It's happening more during summer time. Find out who's behind it

Have had numerous calls from this number.  It is not anyone I know and I wish they would stop calling!!!!

This number calls and it goes to voice mail, but the person still acts like a human has answered. So the voice mail is "may I speak to..(my husband's name)...",  "hello, may I speak to.... (mine or my husband's name)" then they hang up.

Got a call from this number. Didn't answer. Called back and it said to leave a message press 1 to be placed on their do not call list press 2. I pressed 2...so here is hoping they don't call back. No message when they called.
