I didn't receive a call from this number but I was told to call this number & give them an ID # they gave to me to give them when I do call this number.  She stated it was her Supervisors #'s.  They stated I was receiving a grant from the Federal Government in the amount of $9,200.00 for home renovations, school, etc.  I also did not have to pay this money back.  They would western union me the money to the closest Walmart Store.  They already had my name, address and phone number.  I'm almost positive this is a scam.  I was always told if it sounds to good to be true then it is not true!!!

This just happened to me too. The asking for me to have a card with 200 available on it but they're not taking the money. once I get to Walmart they will wire me the 9200 through Money Gram. is this a scam

Its a scam, you guys. No grant would make you pay any fee for something you've already allegedly received

I got a call from this number and I just let that person kept talking. She was doing alright until she asked me to send $250 to "activate" my account and I'll receive it back, meaning I'll be receiving $9,450 instead of the $9,200 supposedly from the US Federal Treasury Dept. When I told her to just deduct the $250 from the $9,200, she wasn't happy. I got a name "Joe Miller" which is a very common name. I told the lady I talked to, who is the "supervisor," that I"m going to report them. What is the crime people doing about this? Has this been looked into?

Yes, it is a scam! You have to apply for a government grant, you don't just get given one at random. And you certainly never have to pay to receive one, even if they claim they don't take the money. Just block and ignore their calls.

These scams originate overseas so there's not a lot "the crime people" can do about this. Just block and ignore their calls.

I got my third call from a Miller today, told me to call 202-838-7010 with my # he gave me and that person could release my $9,200 and send it to the nearest Walmart store.  I figured all this time it was a scam and decided today to look up the phone #.

I got this call at 9:30 am this morning...I knew it was a scam...told the guy to just send me the money and he kept telling me that I have to go to walmart...told him I had no car and he said I have to go to the store...than I was asking him all these questions and finally I told him I would take a taxi to walmart...he said perfect and I ended the call....

Same call just now. We know that you don't go to WALMART to collect money from the government

I got a call n gave up 175 for me not to be nothing but be on hold and get the run around maybe I should of known it wasn't real but at the time it was the last thing that crossed my mind but now it's my loss on money that I needed for important things now I know now . Smh so mad  I'm pregnant n it is so hot out n I'm so disappointed

Called first from a blocked number to inform me i had been awarded a 9000.00 dollar grant gave me a code and number to call sounded Asian
called 202-838-7010 where i was told for being a good citizen of Texas paying my bills, no Bankruptcy, no arrests, I earned the grant never to pay it back. well all I need to do is give them a payment of 200.00 dollars and they would transfer the 9200.00 to Walmart money gram. always remember are government isn't giving us money unless we apply for it. they have guidelines that we have to abide by to. Becareful inform everyone
