This number just called me and keeps calling about every two weeks. It's really annoying.

"Rahl" called says he is from the US government. He says I was randomly selected to get $7,250 in grant money from the US government, He asked if I had ever filed for bankruptcy and I put him on speaker phone and he hung up. BYE RAHL!

It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also. We can't stop anyone from calling you either or remove from a list.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.

I received the same phone call from an "agency of the US government" offering me a free grant.  When I asked for a number to call back on a supervisor came on and refused to give me a phone number.  SKETCHY!!!

Things to believe:

• There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
• If it sounds (or looks) too good to be true, it probably is.
• You have not won big bucks from a benign benefactor, a pot of pesos from PCH, dinero from a doctor, or a grant from a gracious government    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<
• The tooth fairy really does not exist
• Everything you read on the internet is not necessarily true.
• It is illegal to ask for money for a loan or prize, before awarding the loan or prize!
• "Free Trips" are loaded with mandatory & costly extras, and you usually must give them your card number after listening to a loooong spiel at a hotel.
• Microsoft or one of their agents did NOT cold call you to fix your computer.
• The moon is not made of green cheese.
• The IRS will snailmail you, rather than phone you, if there is a problem.
• Jackalope milk is not an aphrodisiac.
• If you "green dot", MoneyGram or Western Union money to a scammer, the money is gone.
• You should beware of Greeks bearing gifts, specially if the gift is a wooden horse with termites.
• The 876 area code is NOT your lucky number, and does cost money to call it!

They keep calling. I've won money from the government. Call 5 or 6 times a day.

They said they were from U.S. Health and Human services. Saying I had been awarded a grant for the government in the amount of $7,000. I asked to speak to a supervisor or check out their department online, and he stammered excuses and then hung up.

Heavy Accent ( sounds Asian or Nigerian )  When I asked What Country He was calling from he said something Different then the US Government .. Though to Be Truthful with his accent he could have been saying anything ..he hung up .. These Scams are well known .. I would Like em to Go to Jail to Rot in Hell eating Pig [***] Drinking Dog piss ..

These people keeping calling. Caller ID says District of Columbia. I finally answered and told the guy to stop calling me. He ask me why and then informed me he did not have to stop. Very rude.

This number just called me I didn't answer I don't know anybody in Washington, D.C. So I'm not going to answer it I don't want to hear it from them.

They kept calling but I was able to block this number 202.845.3031 out of my phone. So consider this an option if you don't want to be bothered.

I could barely understand what he was saying.  Just that I got selected for $7000 from the US gov. He said he needed my SS# and I told him absolutely not!  He said ok good bye then called back 2xs! The number is now on my blocked list.  But what can I do to protect myself?

I too have been receiving multiple calls a day for the past few days, some of which are within minutes of eachother. I ignore each one knowing darn well if it's important they will leave a message and what do ya know? They never do! I am putting them on my blocked numbers list on my phone because it's really the only thing you can do at this point and eventually they will stop calling when all they get is a voice mail every time they call. Lesson here is to be very careful where your phone numbers goes when browsing the web, even just signing up for job sites is a huge risk! That is the only place I have ever put my phone# in and ever since then I've been getting tons of these types of obnoxious phone calls.

This number has called my cell phone at least 3-5 times a day for the last several weeks!  They never leave a message so I don't answer it.  I agree with the other comment.  It is very annoying.  

I have been getting calls from this number. I have asked them to quit calling. Today I called the number and it said this is not a working number. How are these people calling from random numbers. I'm getting them every day from DC.

The same person keeps calling to offer me a government grant, This person has called me from these numbers. I block  each number and he calls from a different one. Calls several times a week: They want you to pay them money to receive grant by mail.
