I received phone calls from (202) 864-1156. This is definitely a call from one of the SCAMMERS pretending they are from the IRS. Its a Scam. The caller says they are from the IRS and to call them back regarding a lawsuit. My taxes are done and filed. SCAM ALERT

I've had 4 calls from this number with a recording of a man w/an east Indian accent claiming he's an officer with the IRS and I need to call his direct line. What a joke! Not sure the point of this scam?

this guy called me left a threatening message. you can barely understand him. he called me last week too from a different number. scammer!!!!!

I got a call from a man with an East Indian accent at 3:00 PM on April 17, 2014. He said there was a lawsuit coming against me and demanded that I call 202-864-1156 immediately.  Since I live in California, it would make much more sense for an actual IRS call to originate in Los Angeles or the regional IRS center in Fresno.  It would be appalling for the IRS to stoop to using telemarketers located in India.  So I have concluded that this was a scam caller.

I got a call too from this number and the message was similar a threatening.type. The impersonator in this case called himself officer Terry and his accent sounded east Indian. I had done my home work here on the web and today I called the Terry guy and started swearing at him in full blast and guess what he switched from English to Hindi and i continued till he hung up. Sp please do the same routine if you get the call.

I suspect they are a bunch of call center employees and up to their pranks.

Received two calls from 202-864-1156 today with a threatening message that there is a potential lawsuit and that we should return Officer Brian Jones' call immediately. There is not enough detail in the message for it to possibly be legitimate.

This is DEFINITELY fraudulent.  Claims to be IRS agent "officer" Carl Cooper.
Beware these people know the name of your relatives, e.g. wife.
Definitely fraudulent.
Threatens with a warrant.

I got two of the exact same type calls today from 202-864-1156.  A man claiming to be Officer Brian John said I or my attorney needed to call him back right away or he would not be responsible for what happened.  It was very threatening and then ended with, "Have a nice day!"
