I need a lawyer a law suit was entered in my name. I told him my lawyer was Tim Scott.

Called said he was from IRS  - but the IRS does call unless you get something in the mail which he said they sent but they did not,

Caller said that they were from IRS.   Told me a lawsuit had been filed.   IRS never phones unless a written explanation has been sent first.   Nothing from IRS has been received in the mail.

Got a call on July 23rd from same number & many more times before this date. The man said his name was Frank Hamilton. He ask if I had a lawyer because I had a lawsuit against me from the IRS.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I received a message on my answering machine  saying they were the irs and it was in regards to a lawsuit also  I did call the # and I told then I was aware it was a scam and it was always on the news that irs will not call you thy send letter  They guy said they send mail and I ignored it he guesses  so I just said I would go to my local irs to see what was going on  I did hang up then  I do have the message on my machine still   I tried to call IRS and of course no person option to taLK WITH

A man with an Indian accent called saying he was from the IT'S saying I owed $3900 and they were filling against me first thing tomorrow morning. He was inquiring if I had a "criminal defense lawyer" etc etc same as everyone else is saying... Total scammer!

In the past several weeks, I have been getting harrassing IRS phone calls, with the last being a Washington DC number.  I spoke to Patrick who had a heavy Indian accent and told him that I was aware of his scam, and how sad it was that many elderly people fall for this thinking they will go to jail if they don't pay up. I give Patrick credit because he maintained his composure throughout my badgering and told me that he was going to call my local police department to come arrest me.  I responded by saying.... "Good, then tell them that I am standing outside on my front porch waiting."  He then said that because of my rudeness and harassment , he was going to call me 500 times a day beginning today.  I said, "That shouldn't be a problem then, since I will be sitting in jail.  This is really getting out of control and needs to stop!

Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan.  Your best bet is a call blocking device or phone.

This phone number called me, when I answered, it was complete silence.  If it's the scammers about the IRS, they just called me Monday from a different number out of Washington.  I wonder how many numbers my phone will block before it starts smoking.....

Got the same message yesterday. Had it about a year ago too. Frank Hamilton me to call 202-864-1810 to settle lawsuit out of court.

Please nobody take these guys seriously or lose one second of sleep from these clowns. In fact have some fun. Look up how to insult East Indians and call them back. String them along. Every minute you're occupying them, they won't be scamming someone else.

I had a call from this number but I didn't answer. I noticed they left a voicemail saying, " This message is for....this is Officer Conney Wielding from Internal revenue service and the reason *cough* the reason for my call was to inform you that there was an error and if you want more information on the situation call:  202-864-1810  *repeats the number*."

This number is now selling cruises. Don't buy, as it is just a different way to scam you out of a credit card number. I had the IRS calls last year. I used to work for the IRS. They never call you. It is always a letter.

Number blocking doesn't work. Every time I get another call, it's from a new number.
