- JonNo one there...called back and the number must be a fake because it would not go thru..
- kimqueenUnknown # , I don't know this #
Came through as +1 like international
On my cell ph, i Picked up didn't have enuf time to open voice recorder, when I heard black female voice plus at least one maybe two more voices in background, saying hello, hello, there's no answer (me, still fudging with menu to record call, unsuccessfully) .... Muffled, bad English/ Ebonics, ghetto-sounding convo, unprofessional sounding scuffles between/ among other parties, then they hung up...within a few seconds less than 3sec.
I tried to call back few mins later since I was busy at the time of call, hangup but the number was "not in service" - which must've come from outgoing call # only, doesn't receive incoming calls, so good reason to never take their calls from these types of #s usually.- Caller: unprofessional outgoing only ph#
- VeronikaI refused to answer this call. But when I did use the *67 (which blocks my #from being posted) the message said that this number was NO longer in service!!
- ZarCalls and hang up
- FillThey called about a vacation to Cancun or Costa Rica for $50 per night per person. It was a robot
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BethIt was a robot it wasn't a real person talk My I know it, it was just probably an Indian person like all the others that do it using the voice to convince people.
FROUD JUST REPORT IT TO THE FBI.- Call type: Telemarketer
- GeorgiaIt is a recorded message supposedly offering vacations to Cancun and Costa Rica for some $50/night.
- Caller: couldn't understand the name of the company
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MinnesotaTelemarketer with recorded script, offering the $50/ night vacations mentioned above. I interrupted, asking if this was a human or a robot; the caller came on with her actual voice, indicating that she is a person, but the script is pre-recorded to ensure quality. When I asked how she got my #, she avoided answering. When I asked the name of her employer, she replayed the recorded intro script "This is Ashley from Cancun Special Promotions!" then she hung up. Of course, googling "Cancun Special Promotions" leads nowhere, as it is so vague, other than other similar complaints associated with different numbers.
The following may or may not be related: For the past several weeks I've been getting "spoofed" by phone numbers with my same area code and prefix. Most often, the line is dead when I answer. Occasionally there is a robot telling me they are calling from Marriot offering vacation packages, and should press 1 for more info or 2 to be placed on their "do not call" list. I hung up several times, pressing nothing. They kept calling, so I chose '2'. Of course, they kept calling. So I tried pressing '1' to get to the bottom of it. The robot said they would be contacting me some time soon, then hung up. The spoof calls have since stopped, but I wonder if this "Cancun Special Promotions" crap is the follow up.- Caller: Cancun Special Promotions

- DavidI got a call on behalf of canoondreamgetaway.com (supposedly). I got passed the 2 sales reps, and then a manager (supposedly). All wanting my credit card info for a limited vacation for $999. They will try to play off peoples insecurities by stating that you be a fool to not place an order immediately, or they ask if you don't make enough income to afford this.

- marcReceived cold call from 202-969-0989 offering Cancun, MX vacation, 5 days and 4 nights all inclusive with transportation pick up at airport...
They first attempt to qualify you, age 28 - 75, have credit card etc... "great you are qualified". Attempted to gather details about number and ages of your children, activities you like to do... then offer activities to entice you into the mental vision of the vacation. She read list off benefits offered and then came the sales pitch...Reg price $3999.00 but with discount of 75% for you only $999.00.... "what credit card will we be using today". When asked to offer website and business license for verification, she went into deflection mode, "you will be passed to a 3rd person to go over the details"... When I indicated that I would need further proof and verification that this is not a scam, she deflected with rational that my lack of cooperation may be due to inability to cover the expense... very cleaver and deceptive tactics. Ultimately indicated was not interested and hung up. Help this dialog helps someone else down the road. Take care and god bless.- Caller: ? promotions...
