Beware of a new variation on a scare tactic/phone debt scam. A recorded message from Mark Riley (sp?) from Capital Providence claiming they have a "civil matter" in their office with "your name and social security number attached." They want you to talk to them to give a statement. None of the is legit. Legal action has be in writing and delivered in person and/or via US Mail from. This is an attempt to scare you into giving up personal information for identity thieves or to scam money out of you.  This happens as soon as you have applied for or received a payday loan. Payday loan people sell your name on an open market to anyone. BEWARE. Do not engage them. Do not call back. As soon as you hear these words or something like this, hand up! Period.
