- ShannonI just got a call from this number and the name came up and ive never had this number on my phone and I don't know how they have my number?
- Jenny| 9 repliesI too got 2 calls from this number - +203 129 0735. I am in the UK and wondering how they got my number?! Though I am literally only after filling in a form to receive a "free" sample of skin cream and pay the postage (Anyone else done this?) I then googled to see how much the cream would be normally via retail- and found that it is a scam - they send you the sample - but if you dont untick a box - they continue to then send on more products, but bill your card for them. I have closed down the site before I entered in my card details, but the contact form had already been sent.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Lorraine replies to JennyYeah i am in the UK too, and just filled out a form for the SAME thing lol and got called by this number everywhere says it's Conneticut and i got a bit concerned as my aunt lives there, tried to call it back but just says "you have dialled an incorrect number" they did leave a voice mail approximatly 1 minute of sheer silence. I also did the same thing i refuse to pay postage on something that is meant to be free! :') i was thinking "my aunt doesn't even know my number how can they possibly be phoning me" then "omg my aunt might be really ill" as she's in her 80's don't these people realise that these calls can cause such worry to people!
- carol| 2 repliesI had just completed a form online to receive a SAMPLE RVTL Product and to ONLY PAY for postage. then I get this call from this number. What a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Lana malik| 2 repliesProbably a fraud
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Freddie! replies to Lana malik| 1 replyWell, they are using a method that magazines use a lot. Better read the fine print before ordering any samples or free offers.
As we all know, nothing comes free. When magazine companies started their auto-renewal on subscriptions, many people did not read or understand the fine print. After the subscription expired, they would continue sending because you agreed to it on the initial subscription. They lost a lot of customers when they started that sleezy technique of keeping a subscription active. The same thing on the cream. In ordering the sample, you unknowingly agreed to continue receiving, at a cost, unless you notified them before a certain date after shipment of the sample. Usually it is an impossible timetable to meet. in summary......yeah....they are scamming people (legally) - Elspeth replies to Freddie!Actually, if they don't give you a clear indication (meaning, not buried in the very small, fine print) that you will incur automatic payments for more goods, then that is deceptive marketing. As you said though, nothing is free - there's always a price, so people should exercise caution when signing up for anything.
- Judy replies to JennyExactly the same as me, luckily I didn't complete the form on line.
- mrs mop replies to carolI too filled a form for something free but closed before card details entered
What a scam avoid this free offer - caroline williamson| 2 repliesThis number is calling everyother day please stop or I will contact PSNI
- The-Nine replies to caroline williamsonOk, two questions.
1) Why would you think that anyone here is calling you?
2) What is PSNI? Positively Stupid Nasty Inbreds, http://www.psni.police.uk/, http://www.psni.org/ Help us out here. - anny replies to caroline williamsonCaroline, I'm afraid that you are going to have to contact PSNI because this is a discussion forum and it does not make, condone, abet, support, or in any way have a thing in the world to do with your caller or anyone else's callers.
