I got a call on my cell from this number and didn't answer as I didn't recognize it.  They left no message, so I called it back and got a recording saying the number was not in service. I guess if it was really important, they would have left a message, or have a number that accepts incoming calls huh??

I handle such calls with my new routine -- let it ring just once or twice until the ID appears, then immediately press TALK and then OFF, so quickly that they'll think the phone is not working. I never answer, never call back, and always come here to check in and report new numbers.  Since using this new technique, my unwanted calls have dropped by over 75%, it pleases me to report. :~)

Received the call, they had a lot of background noise and were hard to hear. Guy with a thick accent saying something about being with a company affiliated with Microsoft. There was an awkward pause and he didn't say anything else, so I hung up.

Guy with Indian accent talking about microsoft and what version am I running and 80% of computers are infected and people don't......blah blah blah so I hung up.

Lots of background noise then a male with an Indian accent asked me if my name was so and so (he was right-but it is my maiden name that only gets used on Ebay/Paypal...hmmm.)He said he was responding to my identified computer problem. I kept pressuring him to tell me how he got my # and he told me he was calling from the HR dept responding to my computer problem - that my computer took a long time to shut down and he was calling to fix it.  Then he gave me to another male with an Indian accent who said he was calling from Healthtech and they were a computer company dealing directly with Microsoft and they were going to fix my computer.  My husband yelled at them to take us off the list and hung up on them.

This is quite irritating as I have family in CT (this line IS registered to a computer in Madison, CT, yet NO name added) and my parents are in their late eighties, so any call from CT makes my heart skip a beat.
Of course it IS some jerk who doesn't say a WORD.  I heard nothing, whatsoever, and said, Hello, many times.

I guess the computer was calling and nobody was around to pick-up the line// perhaps this guy or gal was busy irritating one of the other people here?  All I know is this;  I AM on the do-not-call list, so I will be reporting this immediately-- esp after reading what eveyone else here has to say.
Oh, if you have a way of turning off ringer for irritating calls, that is helpful.  It's what I do (save in phonebook, with ringer oFF)..

didn't leave a message or any information. I called back said the number was not in service at this time. Tried again on another day the same thing happened.

They are calling my cell and hanging up - wasting my dime and time!

Just received a call from the sam e number, no message.  I called back and the number was disconnected.   Sounds like some kind of scam to me.

same deal as some of the reports above - woman on the line when I picked up, then after I spoke she clearly handed the phone to a man with a thick accent - he was calling about my pc problem - asked him what company he represented, he reasked the question about the problem with my "pc" kept saying that.  I finally told him we didn't have a pc and he hung up on me!!  Scary that they are just randomly calling people!!

Call from this number on 2/17/10 at 7:50 pm EST.  The Caller Id said "Metavante".  I answered, the guy had a very strong West Indian accent.  Here is how the call went:
him: I am calling about your computer problem
me: what?
him: I am calling about your computer problem, do you have a computer and broadband internet?
me: how did you get my number
him: I am calling about your computer, we are affiliated with microsoft
me: I don't care who the $%#$ you are affiliated with, how did you get my number
him: we got your number from our database, we are calling about your computer, do you have one?
me: if you are calling about my computer problem, then you would already know whether I have one or not, how did you get my number
Then he hung up...called number back, said it was out of order.

I just got this number also ( I live in NC). I didnt answer and they left no message. from what i have read, they're saying theyre calling in regards to your computer and microsoft?....i just got my computer fixed yesterday from several viruses on my laptop that attacted my microsoft... sounds fishy to me too. probably a hacker thats gotten info off our computers and now calling to verify our idenity so they can steal it! be careful yall!

harassing phone calls threatens me to stay online or he will report me? Seemed like an Indian guy he kept yelling at me about my computer said if i tried to call back he would be offended and only wanted to call me so I said not to call the he started screaming he was going to kill me? who is this company are they terrorist? why do the threaten me and my family?

Same deal as many others.  They knew my name, Thick accent, affiliated with Microsoft, do I have a computer, The same drill!  I hung up.  Caller ID said "Connection Call"

Is there a slim chance that all of you are not affiliated with the Democratic Party???

I got the same call 20 minutes ago. i they tried to get my ip addtess and my passwords to access my computer. i think they are hackers

Don't know the number or anyone in the area and did not leave a message, do no call
