There is an effort being made by Consumers Union (they publish Consumer Reports). The effort is a petition to hold the phone companies responsible (at last!) for these phone calls since they do not screen scammers and are making money off their harassing telephone robo calls to consumers.

The petition is to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) to take action to get the phone companies to at least offer free number blockers through their phone system.

Signing the petition is sure to help. Consumers Union has clout because of the numbers.

Please go to www.EndRobocalls.org to end the madness, harassment and scams.

Just called again and I answered by mistake.  Said his named was Danny from Green Energy.  I told them I answered by mistake and not to call this # again. The man had an accent.

Called me 2 times in an hour. Not going to answer... Make that 3. It's ringing again right now!

Number called. Madison CT showed-up on caller ID. Didn't answer.

just got a call from this number on my cell.  when i said hello just got dead air for about 20 seconds.

Spoke with a voice like the fake microsoft computer repair tech did

Caller ID said "Solar".  Obvious scam -- didn't pick up.

We get continued calls from this number.
We let it go to voice mail, but soon they call back.
We have previously requested no calls, however, this does no good.

Don't bother with this number 203-318-9282....Its a scamm....They call me everyday yet i don't answer  because my machine already knows its a scamm and its written on the screen that its a scamm..I get about 20 calls like this idiot from 203-318-9282....Why are these idiots wasting their time ...If the machine knows its a scamm..Do you think iam going to answer their phone call ??? Common seriously ...These morons need to get a real job.......

This call came in and showed Solar on the caller ID.  I do not answer unwanted called and wish they would stop since we are on the do not call registry but that obviously doesn't mean a thing.  They need to stop calling.

I just received a call and caller ID said "Solar".  When I answered the person on the other ends English was horrible.  I hung up as I could not understand a word he said.

Yes, really annoying to go through the same as noted in this comment.  However, I finally got them to stop when I called back to try to speak to a supervisor to honor my request to stop calling.  I wasn't able to get a human but got an automated system.  I pressed 1 to be added to the do not call list and within their requested 48 business hours processing time, the calls stopped.  Whew, what a relief.

WHEW! What a crock! DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK!

Just got a call from this CT number that came up as "Solar". First time. I'm on the Do Not Call Registry and if they're soliciting solar energy for my home, that's illegal as they are not a non profit, a business that I deal with or a political/policeman's charity, [***] truly!

I don't answer numbers I don't recognize, and they hang up after my answering machine message is played,  Very annoying as I've received these calls several times a day in the past few days.
