Said his name was mustafa and something about rugs before I hung up

"Mustafa" called, asking if I was so & so (He knew my name). Without telling him I asked him his name.  He said his company was going to be in town and  and asked if I would I like them to come to my house to sell rugs. I asked how did he get my number, he said either I or my husband was in Turkey and bought something and left our phone number. My husband and I  were never in Turkey and so this caller must be  full of balony. What is Mustafa up to?!? Everytime I asked for the Agency or campany name he was calling from, he said it in a muffled tone of voice. even when I pointed that out to him, he said it again in a muffled tone of voice. So there is no company to identify.

I received a call from Mustafa just now stating that someone from my family had been in Turkey and bought a rug and that they were going to be in the area. i told him that no one was here by that name and he had the wrong number. What a strange scammer call. I hope they get caught on whatever they are drumming up.

I got a call on a second line in my home that I never give the number out. The caller asked for me or my husband - "Is Mr and Mrs. "so and so" there?" He knew our name.  I just said, you have the wrong number and hung up.

I did not picked up

I keep getting daily calls from this phone number.  Never leaves a message.  But it could be from some company based in Turkey as years and years ago we were in Istanbul for 1 day and purchased 2 small rugs.  I remember this company saying they came over and held "sales" in the U.S.  However I still don't pick up - if it is important or they really need to get in touch with me they will leave a message.  If I'm interrested (which I am not) I will get back to them. They should stop calling!

We get several times per week calls from the number. Caller ID says "Branford, CT"
We do not answer and they leave no message.

Caller asked if I had been in Turkey he was looking for someone with my last name who supposedly had been in Turkey

Still active obviously, just got a call from good old Mustafa, exact same way as aforementioned.

Yes, still active, just got a call - he knew our last name - looking for someone with our last name that came into his carpet store while on vacation in cherokee?  No idea what this guy is up to.  I said wrong number and hung up- bizarre.
