No one on the line

Several calls from (203) 489-0025.  I do not pick up as I do not recognize the number.  No I.D.

I tell you, we've disconnected our answering machine because of nonsense like these nut cases who refuse to leave messages anyway and we refuse to pick up for ANYONE who shows up on caller ID as UNIDENTIFIED.  Will these idiots EVER learn?  Land line calls here (Ohio) are nothing but SCAMS, PHISHING and PURE FRAUD.  On the other hand, my cell phone seems to be a magnet for DRUNKS calling a wrong number at 2:00 am. About to drop land line altogether.

They called today and I answered but put the phone on mute.  A woman said --rattled on, actually--that she was calling to make sure I can get the best rate for my electric.  She said my reading would be soon and she had my address, which she stated.  She then realized that no one was there, after she kept saying "hello, hello".  She finally slammed the phone down.

If I am home and want to answer, I always hit the mute button.  It's fun to beat them at their own game!!

They called after 8:00 p.m.

No message. I don't recognize number.

Likely this is a telemarketer.

I have this number registered with the do-not-call list!

Got this call while out.  Of course, No Msg left.  Caller ID said "GREENWICH, CT" and the number.

We've gotten nearly FIFTY of these calls since 2/21/15 from these other numbers (all claiming to "lower our electric bill" and DEMANDING OUR ELECTRIC ACCT #)  This is a CREDIT PHISHING SCAM.  By having ANY financial acct number in your name, they look up your credit and use this info to STEAL your IDENTITY.

ALL have "ASIAN-INDIAN" accents/voices, and can barely speak English.  Suspect these are coming from the INDIAN CALL CENTERS that AMERICAN CORPORATIONS USE for their 800 numbers.  These places then have VAST DATABASES at their disposal with our NAMES, ADDRESSES, ACCT #s for specific companies and OTHER INFO that, with just a LITTLE more info from us (a second acct# for 'verification' like an electric bill) can be used to OPEN ACCTS IN OUR NAMES without us even knowing.  TIME TO LOBBY CONGRESS TO OUTLAW AMERICAN CORPORATE USE OF OVERSEAS CALL CENTERS.  Bring those jobs back to AMERICANS on American soil, so, if someone here steals our identities, at least they can FIND them and bring them to Justice!  NOTHING our government can DO to the [***] overseas!

4-16-2015 we received another spam call from 203-489-0025 Greenwich Ct at 9:19am. The black woman who didn't speak English very clearly read some copy of our Niagara Mohawk electric bill being too high. We do not pay electric, and have MA electric. And she had some other street address as ours. She said my questions were inappropriate when I asked here what she was wearing and did she have a girlfriend. Why? She called me ! I am on the Do Not Call list for a reason. As an old gay man I really don't want some young black lady calling me ! It was nice to hear that the weather in Ct is nice now, though. Can't wait for some Indian guy to call me next week!

Call ID said Greenwich, CT.  Woman said I'd save lots of money off my bill from National Grid (I didn't tell her that electricity is included in my rent!), wanted to confirm my town, and then asked for most recent copy of my National Grid bill.  I told her I'd have to go to another room to get it.  I took the phone to my bedroom, softly laid it on the bed, tiptoed out, closed the door quietly, and after about 3-4 minutes heard the beeps of a hang-up.  THAT is my way of trying to make my phone number undesirable.
