i also get calls from this number, no idea who it is. it's from bridgeport connecticut.

I've received multiple calls per day for days, perhaps weeks, from this number...GGGGRRRRRRRRR! I have no idea who they are. They call my home phone only. The caller ID says Citizens Financial. I'll try googling them.

Citizens Financial is one of the largest foreign-owned banks in the country. It is the US baing arm of RBS.

That SHOULD say "banking arm"...Sorry about the typo. I'm getting tired.

I'm getting calls from this number as well. I'm only 17. I have no idea what they want from me. I've been getting a lot of odd calls lately. Including plenty of blocked calls. I'm a step from getting my phone canceled. Especially after the last call I got. It was just one minute of silence, then some lady said hello. That was followed by one minute of her breathing into the phone. Then, she hung up.

Got a call tonight from a woman claiming to be from the Royal Bank of Scotland.  I said I don't have an account w/ them, she rattled off a few other names of banks that are subsidiaries of RBS, and Citizens Bank, my bank, was one of them.  Turns out it was their fraud department.  Somebody tried to use my credit card on a website I've never heard of but put the expiration date in wrong.  Citizens noticed this, flagged my account and they were calling me to verify the charges.

Got 2 calls today 10-17. Am not waiting to find out what it is, even tho they say "hold please"

I got seven calls from that number today!
Urgh, this is so not cool.

I have been getting calls from this number for the past 3 weeks and it does say Citizens Financial...well, to be frank, I am going to find out where it comes from and filing a harrassment suit as these calls are coming late at night plus sundays...state of Tn collection laws are very firm and they are violating them completely...I don't owe them anyway, but they are going to owe me before long....

called saturday morning, left no message.

Rcvd sunday nov 15 at 14:15 Eastern, on cell. Call was automated, i heard it say please hold and after 15 seconds, i hung up.

Rcvd sunday nov 15 at 14:15 and a second call at 14:30 Eastern, on cell. Call was automated, i heard it say, "still trying, please hold" and after 15 seconds of silence, i hung up.

After 3rd call, it turns out it was Citizens reporting possible fraud on my MasterCard

3 phone calls today; first one and last one the person hung up; the middle call said some financial institution name but I hung up on them after I heard that.

Just received a call from this number.  Picked up and just heard a click and silence.

I also am getting at least 3 calls a day from this number.  As soon as the answering machine picks up, the caller hangs up!  I'm getting really sick of this since it's been going on for about 3 weeks now!

I saw this # on caller ID and let it go to the answering machine.  No message was left.  I immediately googled it and came into this site.  As I was reading and saw "RBS," the phone rang again from the same #.  My policy is to never answer such calls, but something pushed me to take this one.

A woman asked for me by name, and then said, "This is Mia calling from the RBS security department..."  and went on to explain that a charge for $250 had been made on our card.  She named the establishment, a golf shop. My husband is visiting family in Florida (we live in Connecticut). He told me 2 days ago that he was going to buy some golf clubs. A large purchase made far from home triggered an alert at RBS, and they called to see if it was ok. I was sure it was ok and told the lady so.  After hanging up, I called my husband, and indeed, he'd bought clubs for $249 and change today.  

All I can say is my call was legitimate.

My wife and I were 2 hours from home at a restaurant when they said the card wouldn't go through.  Well I have a credit card through Fred Meyer / Kroger, which I found on their site that's owned by RBS Citizens.  I just today got a missed call from this number and when I saw some of you saying "security" and I went to my Mastercard's site, I figured it out.  But it's [***] that my credit card won't work when I'm only 100 miles away!!!

The call at least 8 times a day... I do not know why???

They've called my house several times today. When I answered, all I got was a busy signal. I tried calling back, all I got was a damn busy signal. It's annoying!
