- kat| 1 replyThis is from a so called process service/debt collector. They want u to pay them for a creditor that u MAY owe money to. They threaten if you don't pay them that the creditor will sue them if this supposed debt. Their threats are illegal according. Each state has a time frame as to how long a creditor has to collect a debt.
ignore their cslls- Caller: processing/server/debt collector
- Call type: Debt collector
- Asante WoodsI received a call from this number this morning and they threatened to sue me based off of some kind of debt that I supposedly owe.

- MR| 2 repliesI just received a call from this number and have been for the last few days. I told Carlos Johnson if he called my phone one more time, I will report this number, his company and have his damn job. Obviously he doesn't know who he is calling. I called my police department and was adv that any more calls can get forwarded to their non emergency number and they will speak with the people. They are calling from 203-610-6489 and 501-490-9400 and I am sick of them calling my phones! They called 2 numbers that are not registered to me, but I own. I don't give out my cell number, how the hell are they calling my cell?
- Caller: N/A
- Call type: Debt collector
- MichaelThey are calling me as well - several times now with a 3rd warning to contact them with an address. Threatening me with "good luck in court." I'm going to wait this one out. Don't fall for these scare tactics.

- SG replies to MR| 1 replyI had the same thing happen to me! They some how got my mothers cell phone, whom I haven't lived with in 27 years. As a matter of fact, my parents are in Florida and Im in Pennsylvania. There is no logical reason for them to connect the two of us but some how they have. Is it a website selling off our information? Thanks for the info on the Police Dept. I'll be sure to direct them accordingly. A co-worker suggested they may be charging for the calls as well? Or should I say the return calls.
- AllieM| 2 repliesthey have called me from 203--610-6489 and 501-490-9400--left msgs both times. Two different msgs that don't make any sense at all...about filing charges against me for fraudulent activity on MY SS#. Then the msg today says that I need to call them with and updated address or else! REALLYNOW?!!! and when I called the (501) number back a guy answers the phone and says "hold on a minute" like he was answering his home phone! Don't fall for this!!!
- Ben Y.| 3 repliesthey seem to be on the war path calling everyone with the same exact too threats. saying charges are being filed and that i have fraudulent activity with my SSN. and they need my correct address to serve me papers. and they are wishing me good luck in court
- xena replies to Ben Y.| 1 replyIf they were really going to serve you papers, they would have your address!! Besides, you are not told in advance, they just serve you! They are too funny.....

https://800notes.com/forum/ta-9413b3202bc8b6c ... net%27s-tactics - unknown replies to xenaThanks to these post, i feel somewhat better. This bogus information agency where they try to collect as much information from you,( if you allow them to ). yes they had some of my personal information and had me a little work up. - Call type: Debt collector
- Not me| 2 repliesThese people are stupid. They leave a voice mail saying criminal charges have been started and I have lost my right to settle this out of court and then they say the client is willing to settle this out of court if I call today. Stupid! Which is it? Pick a threat if you're going to try to scare people! I'm not the one they are looking for and I have their number set on auto reject where it goes straight to voice mail. They have called me at least 10 times and each time they say it's my final warning. Stupid! If it's final then stop calling or at least get the hint I'm not falling for their crap.
- Badge714 replies to Not me| 1 replyThis is another example of foreign scamming criminals mixing up their legalities. Lose your rights? Maybe in Mumbai, but not in North America. And of course, debt is civil, not criminal. Criminal charges for an old loan? Next time they call, ask them how's the weather in India today?
- Paula replies to AllieMI have received calls from the same numbers you have listed threatening me with fraudulent activity associated with my SS# as well. The thing is I received a call from a totally different number about 2 weeks before these started. The same type of threat. Said it was fraudulent activity and breach of contract. I finally contacted the loan company they said that I was having the charges filed from and they confirmed what I thought was correct. I filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and this account was charged off and my bankruptcy discharged. I do not owe them anything and they told me that I am not the only client who called about these threats. I was to ignore them. The thing is the phone number of 203-610-6489 was supposedly from two different places. Friday I received a call saying that I had to take care of the actions taken against me or I would be sent to court and they the guy said he was calling from Brunson & Associates, then I get a call today after I told him that I have contacted the loan company and it has been included in bankruptcy and he said okay I will call them then hung up. Then today I received a call from the same place and they said they were calling from the National Association of Attorneys. I was like yeah right, then proceeded to tell the lady off and told her that I am tired of receiving the calls and before I even gave her any names etc, she said okay I will verify that your account was updated and then came back and said you will not receive any more calls and your account has been updated then hung up. I was like yeah right lady I didn't even give you my claim number or other information to know who you were really talking to. I am contacting my Attorney General about these calls. I was told that I would receive my summons after they updated my address and my employer's address and to expect to go to court and good luck in court. That ticked me off that is when I called and she said that she would update my account. What a LIE!!! They never had anything against me to begin with. They are scammers and need to be stopped some how.
- What a load !!!About a week ago, I got a call from Little Rock, Ark.
Same things, then it has moved to Bridgeport, CT.
I have started reporting them to the:
FBI
BBB
Each states Attrny Generals offices !
I wont even talk to them, plus its a robo call !
How is it that they are going to serve me and need my address's.
I am going to start going after them, maybe even drive to Hartford, Ct and file suite against them !
Total Scam !
How is it that they can leave such bogus messages !!!
Go After them !- Caller: WHO CARES
- sally| 1 replyleft message today at home and the message are the exactly the same that is posted. They call home and also at work. I don't what they are trying to collect form me. I seek an advice from lawyer from the FCDPA and said not to pay anything . They are scam. I am planning to change my home phone number but I don't if this work-then they will not stop calling at work
- Resident47 replies to katThe "time frame" is a Statute of Limitations, which does not (in 48 states) limit "how long a creditor has to collect a debt". SoL sets a deadline for *suing* you to collect. A collection agency can legally ask you to pay some car note from around the Carter administration so long as nobody mentions "court" or "lawsuit".
That said, thugs like this have no intention of suing and probably can't because the debt is imaginary, both conditions making their bullying calls illegal.
FTC alert: "Fake Debt Collectors"
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors - Idiots..I just got a call from the same number 203-610-6489. What a crock, they said there was fraudulent activity associated with my SS# and a summons will be served to my work place and to be sure to let my workplace know... well the name they gave me was from my 1st marriage which I haven't had in over 20 years!! These people should be tared and feathered for these ridiculous phone calls.
