I have cars for sale on Craigslist and so do some friends.  All received text message from this number wanting to buy car as a surprise for her dad...etc...etc....it is a scam!

i got a text from this # about a truck i have on craigslist! Glad i know its a scam!

Live in a suburb of Dallas, received a text from this number inquiring on a Harley I had on Craigslist.  When I gave price and said cash only.  Did not receive a response.  Checked phone number in reverse lookup on whitepages.com and it's a phone number in Connecticut.  This is definately a scam.  Avoid any calls or texts from this number.

The number is hosted by Bandwidth.com so it's a VoIP number - the caller is in another country (most likely Nigeria).

Yep... have a vehicle for sale on Craigslist and got an email from a guy by the name of Jim Adam at this number.  Was suspicious of email content so did a search.  Found this site! Thanks!

Received a message from this number via text message about a couch I had listed on Craig's List.  Writer states she is an Army Reservist in Rhode Island (unlikely, since she says flight maintenance, which isn't done there, and even if it was, there is no way she's a doctor in the Reserves working a flight line.)

Same as other comments - wants assurance, is buying as a gift, so on and so forth.

I too received communication via txt message from this number in response to an ad that i posted on craigslist.  They insisted that i use PAYPAL.  Based on this blog and the very similar communications i got from them, I have no question THIS IS A SCAMMER!!!!

I, too had a bed for sale on Craigslist. the person claimed to be a "US Army Reserves working as a flight doctor under the auspices of the aircraft Maintenance here in Rhode Island." Said there name was Sarah Rene from San Diego, CA. ". "I am buying this for my dad, as a surprise gift and understand i want you assure me it's in condition described." "I understand where you are coming from and am ready to seal this deal but i want you to understand that the main reason i insist on paypal is because most of my funds has been saved in my paypal account in case of online use". Then they were very anxious for me to sign up online. Then they said, "How long it will take you to set it up and get back to me"? As you can see, the English is very broken. This is why I started doing some research and came to this site.

These people posted all my personal info on craigslist and then texted and acted as if they were interested. These guys came to my house these people need to be stopoed
