nothing but a mechanical voice saying, "goodbye" when i answered on the third ring and said hello.  i called the number back and heard the same mechanical voice say "this number is not in service."

got a call saying that they were looking for the person who is responsible for paying my electric bills,they claimed to be CL&P.I heard before that this was  scam i n case you don't know what CL&P stands for it is COnnectcut Light and Power.WHen I told them that they weren't available they just hung up on me.

Received the same things... I pick up and it says goodbye, another time it was claiming to be CL&P.

I had these phone calls about three times but spaced apart.I learned later from CL&P they told me that it was a scam and that somebody was just trying to get me to buy something.

I answer now that I know who they are and with my best middle eastern accent I ask them if they have any camels for sale, they quickly became bewildered and replied "we are not calling about camels sir, this is CL&P I am calling about your electricity bill." And I replied, CL&P are you not from Camels Loan Program? Where is the camel that I bought?  I would like to speak to manager!  And then they hung up and have not called back again.

Have received these messages, also have had someone come to the door, goal is ti sign up for their electric alternative.  Woman at door wanted me to go dig up my bill, thanked her for her time and bid her adios.

Answered a call from Jasmine about electrical suppliers. She never answered my questions where she was calling from CLP.  She wanted me to be aware that it was deregulated and I should be paying a lower rate.  I asked her if she was calling from my current supplier but she never answered that either. She was very rude and said she was an agent, from where?  I told her I was on the do not call list and not to call back.

I just got a call from somebody very very rude telling me that they are with cl&p and that i paying more that i should write this stuff down...whatever she was soo rude and demanding...i told her i didn't want to deal with her, so i hunged up...and she called again...so i told i am the owner and didn't want to deal with people like her...then i hung up..Gezzz seriously she was vicious...

3 times they've called.  The last time they said they were from North American Power to offer me a special rate.  I said I was too busy to talk and she was emphatic that I speak with her.  I had to be rude and say, "Not now!"  Then I hung up.

I told the woman she sounded sexy and to keep talking. When she started again I started to moan and told her I was about to unload, she hung up pretty quick. I pulled the same trick on a male telemarketer he sounded too into  it so I hung up pretty quick.

North American Power. I called them back and said goodby [***].

These "utility" companies keep calling me as well.  Just put their name in to a google search along with the word SCAM and you will become enlightened.  I thought solicitors were not allowed to do this anymore?

I called the number back and it says "Thank you for calling the enrollment center for north american power if u know your agents extension enter it now or continue to hold for next available agent, if itshese scams for CL&P it was on the news this week to notify local police department. Looked up in google and its an electric carrier

They called us AGAIN today, after we said that we were on a do not call list, and to remove us from your list.  They said it was not a sales call, and that I had signed up for a rate reduction. I said that this WAS a sales call, we are on a do not call list, and if they call back, we will report them to the AG's office.  He said that since we signed up to be contacted, it does not fall under the "do not call' registry.  Hey dumb-o, if we signed up, you would have my name, and not ask for the "person who is on the CL&P account".

Saw the number on caller ID, did not pick up, no message left
Have been getting MORE telemarketing calls since putting our numbers on do not call list

Caller hangs up every time I answer the phone.

Said he was from North American Power. Wanted to know if I was in an energy program. When I said yes he wanted to know if I had a fixed or variable rate. I told him it was none of his business and hung up.

My wife received a rude threatening call from this number shortly before noon today [3/5/2012].  Caller only identified self as 'north american power'.     Asked to speak to whomever is in charge of the energy bill. At first my wife said she was,  them remembered I had recently related that electric utilities now consist of servicers and suppliers.  She then told the caller that "this is an issue for my husband".    the caller became rude; "Didn't you just tell me that you were in charge!"   She replied she was initially not paying attention because of frequent 'garbage calls'.  at this point the caller became hostile, screamed something and slammed down the phone.      unless you can trap this caller, don't answer and ruin your day.
