several calls per day to cell phone- i do  not answer unrecognized numbers since i use a pre=paid phone. This is the biggest annoyance-since these unwanted calls cost me money----is there a way to block these numbers?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Called twice last Friday, a half an hour apart. I didn't answer either time and never will. The funny thing was that the 203 number is what showed up on my caller ID and a completely different number with a 775 area code showed up on my carrier's web site. Is this what they call spoofing? They just called again and didn't leave a message. Time to block their butts.

Oops, forgot to say in my last post: they are calling my landline, not my cell like the rest of you victims.

National collection services...you've got to stay on a minute before they come on and ID themselves...were looking for someone we don't know, so asked them to take our number off their list

Called on my cell numerous times.

Silence upon pickup.

Call is immediately terminated if you return the call.

It is a combination of an nonreturnable CallerID ICLID.

The cell provider has ANI, the internal caller ID carriers use for billing and routing calls, hence the difference between cell carrier's incoming call detail and the caller ID you see.

And a Predictive Dialer set for harassment.

Calls where the caller is silent are illegal. Transmitting a false or nonreturnable CallerID demonstrates false and evasive practice. Call a lawyer.

Stop calling

Please help to stop people from calling to collect debts that don't exist.

Keep calling several times a day, very annoying.

Randomly calls at least 5x a week sometimes, 2x a day.  I don't owe any outstanding bills so I don't think it's a bill collector.   I use Google voice so I just blocked them so I will not hear from them again.  They will get a message that my phone is out of service when they call my number.

This is only the 2nd time that I've gotten calls from this number but I expect that they will continue because I refuse to pick up. I have been getting debt collection calls for a guy named Stephen Phillips since 2006. When I tell the company that they have the wrong number, they stop calling. But 6 months later Steve's info gets passed to another agency without any mention that the number is incorrect. I should admit defeat and change my number, but I don't see why I have to be inconvenienced because Steve can't pay his bills.

The number is from First National Collection Bureau.  They have called my cell several times without leaving a message. I have been getting calls from a previous user of the cell phone number I have who obviously owes money to many people.
