Appears to be an unlisted number in New Milford - been calling and hanging up for a week now - won't leave a message.

It is the Connecticut Fraternal Order of Police fundraising call by professional fud raisers

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on www.ctstatefop.com, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Connecticut police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

get the message, if you continue to call and and use differentt numbers you will be sorry you ever did

bull, poolice dont need to ask taxpayers for money, get it from your government, this is just a scam telemarketing company trying to RIP you off

I spoke to one our deputy police chiefs last year; he told me this group is unaffiliated with the local police department. He also told me that very little of the money they collect gets to the  police. They keep it.

Someone called my home phone a lot of times and never left a message. Today I answered the phone and the guy seemed polite. I asked him to repeat a couple of times what the call was for, because I did not get "xxxxxx order". He hung up the phone politely.

VERY little of this money goes to ANYTHING but the telemarketeres pocket. Usually 85% goes to the charity. I know other charities that use this type of fund raising and get nothing back.

What is the FOP? None of the cops I know say they have seen anything.

When we asked if they could mail us literature on what they do, the guy got angry, told us we should just donate, cursed us, then hung up when we said we don't donate without knowing the charity and what they do.

So piss them off by asking for something in the mail. I have asked three times not to get their calls but they continue.

They will not stop calling and unreasonable times.  They never leave a message

The organization, headquartered in New Haven, is using a paid solicitor, Civic Development Group of Hopelawn, New Jersey, to conduct a telephone campaign. According to the contract, the Connecticut Fraternal Order of Police will receive a minimum of 15 percent of the money collected in its name. The remaining 85 percent will be kept by Civic Development Group.

Consumers should be aware that they are not talking to a police officer when they receive a call from Civic Development Group on behalf of this organization. They also should be aware that if they make a donation, none of that money will go to help their local police departments," Blumenthal said. "I am encouraged by the large number of calls we have received regarding this campaign. It shows that consumers are heeding our warnings to be alert and seek information before they give.

This FOP is just another example of how some people can get around the law.They keep calling I have blocked them and they keep changing the number I call this harassment. I say call the Attorney General.Report them because they think they are above the law and give another bad example of Police Work.The fines for this infraction has been raised in CT I hope the Attorney General  enforces this.
