Dawn - 15 May 2008You probably gave them your number when your child bought a book, especially if she joined a club with them where she received something monthly. You would have received a bill, as well.

Cateyz - 26 Oct 2007I rec'd a call on my cell from (203) 797-3222 right before 9pm, EST (they have to legally call before 9pm). Anyway, I contacted them and spoke to a representative by the name of Heather. I explained to her that when my daughter bought a book from her school's Scholastic Fair 1.5 yrs ago, we did not request a subscription. This was the 2nd time I told them that. I then proceeded to tell her to remove my cell # and do not call me back. I also let her know that I was making an online report as I was speaking to her. According to Heather, the removal process would take about 48 hours.

JENNIFER - 27 Mar 2008THEY HAVE BEEN CALLING MY CELL PHOEN FOR WEEKS. THEY LEAVE NO MESSAGE AND HANG UP WHEN I ANSWER, I FINALLY CHANGED MY VOICE MAIL TO SAY, CALL MY HOME PHONE, THEY NOW CALL BOTH SEVERAL TIMES A DAY, STILL THEY HANG UP WHEN I ANSWER. THAT COMPANY HAS PROBLEMS.

bahiyyih - 28 Sep 2007the same thing is happening at my house. we used to have scholastic for my son, and then canceled it recently. they have been calling at least once a day every day since. i even got so fed up that i answeeed and talked to one of their reps...he wanted to let me know that they would be sending me another order and i told him not to because i was no longer interested in their program. the rep was very pushy and kept saying, "but it's free, and you can always send it back if you don't want to." i had to forcefully tell him that i don't want any more of their books and to leave me alone. you think that would get them to stop, but guess who called 10 minutes ago...
