- MikeinMilford replies to connectichick| 1 replyI just got another call from this #. As usual, they hang up when I get to it.I call them back, and a recording tells me to push 1 to speak to one of their"friendly customer service representatives", or push 2 to be removed from their calling list.I've been told that if you push any button they may very well have immediate access to your personal info,or even by pushing any button you could be unwittingly authorizing some kind of charge?? It's hard to say what technology these scumbags have. And it's obvious the federal Do-Not-Call list is a joke.I registered my home # with them on the 18th of January. Its now,the 3rd of March. This crap has to stop though.Getting several calls a day like this from different numbers.
- Francis Kohl| 4 repliesGot a call from them this morning. Robowench said "This is an urgent public announcement about your electric bill". Hung up, blocked them.

- WalterCalled on a do-not-call cellphone number. I pressed 1 to speak to operator. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused. I informed her that she made a call to a do-not-call number and she said "well, you don't have to pick up the phone".
She hung up on me.- Caller: Some energy company

- Caller: Clean Planet

- cjoIf they were a legitimate company they would be proud of their identity and would come up on a Google search. This number only comes up on complaint forums like this one.

- TheAntiFoxJust got a call about 20 minutes ago from this number to my mobile.
A mints-worth of free advice to anyone reading: Do NOT, under ANY circumstance, register any more numbers with the federal do-not-call list. I did so with my landlines and my mobile and my wife's mobile 5 years and regret ever having done so.
The number of unsolicited calls on my mobile and our landline went up like the human population curve, slowly at first, then more gradually upward, then exponentially(nearly straight up!). We are at the point where we will have to pay $30-ought bucks to change those phone numbers, and we will NEVER even THINK of registering them.
The government is probably in cahoots with these solicitors, and when I contacted my local members of Congress, all one of them repeatedly did was recite how do not call works, and what calls it does not block(political campaigners and surveyors). Also, some of these calls are originating overseas, given the accents of the few human callers I get to hear, even though the caller ID says "Texas" or "Hartford".
So between robo-callers and overseas origination, I'd say Do-Not-Call is a WASTE OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS.
End of rant, I defer the floor. ;) - AnonymJust rang the phone I didn't answer congrats now 203 area is blocked from my phone.
- Caller: Norwalk CT
- C[***] just told me it wasn't a sales call?!
They wanna come to your house and put solar on your roof to mine your roof for energy.
It's a legit strategy to be save money but the automated message screams scam.
Clarified for her that "no money down" offers for services like this are still sales calls.
Sketchy and annoying they call 2x a day and always say it takes 48hrs to remove from list... Uhhhh?- Caller: Call Id was "clean planet"

Do-Not-Call is dysfunctional. - Anonym| 1 replyThese A S S H O L E S tried to ring the phone at 8:30 last night (the blocked display came on my Panasonic phone). Why would I do business with them after you switch to their electric supplier they double or triple your bill a few months later. These clowns are currently under investigation by the state of CT I just hope it's not the same bunch that minds the DNC list doing the investigating :(
- Caller: Norwalk CT
- Call type: Telemarketer
- They Bother me too replies to DARLENEGet a Panasonic phone set under $100 at the wholesale club blocks 250 numbers and also blocks whole area codes best part is the first ring is silent so other than the display lighting up to show blocked caller no more noise from them.
- Badge714 replies to TheAntiFoxThe DNC list operates exactly as it was intended. For honest business' not to call you. If you are getting telemarketing calls, and are on the DNC list, you are being called by foreign, or domestic criminals. The intent is to steal personal or financial information from you. Criminals will not obey the DNC or any law. Why would they? Laws are in place but the individual must take personal responsibility for their protection. Just as you lock car & house doors, you have to treat your phone the same way. Look into using technology to block or limit such calls.
- klmGood grief. Don't any of you people ever read. Go to the Ftc /DNC site and educate yourself somewhat before posting. The DNC administers only and solely to Legitimate American businesses who are Registered with the FTC and who are required to purchase (at a cost of about $3500.00 per year) and update their records, via the DNC list every 31 days. Its sole purpose was and still is to limit Telephone sales calls from these "legitimate and Refistered". Businesses. Nothing else. Just a "List". It is not responsive to any others or anyone's unwanted calls. Nor is it responsible for the great biblical flood, world famine or anyone's scorching case of herpes
