Why is this number calling me?

It's a debt collector.  I'm assuming it's for a variety of businesses.  Mine was for "Eversource Connecticut Light and Power."  She was pretty upset when I explained that I'd already disputed the charges with all three credit bureaus and that all three found in my favor.

It was difficult to understand the caller through all the background noise and gum-smacking, but they identified themselves from some company I've never heard of (sorry, I can't remember the name) and said they needed my Paypal account information. Yeah, right.

same this lady claimed she was calling in regards to paypal then wanted me to give her my information to verify. saved that one as a scam number.

Caller began by announcing "this is a recorded line," the last decipherable words due to his mumbling and background noise. Likely a debt collector or phone scam.

Keeps calling my home with message that someone needs to call back but then leaves no call back #!!

Rude debt collectors from Eversource

Same as a couple of others here, boiler room background noise, some guy insisting he was debt collecting for Eversource. I bill I distinctly remember PAYING. And even then, that was more than 8 years ago. LOL
Scam artist...

Automated caller, debt collection of a debt I have no knowledge of nor do I owe. I don't even have an account w/PayPal!
