- BrendaSpoke with someone from this number who called me at work. He asked to speak to my business manager, principal, etc. etc. (listed about 5 different titles). I asked what it was in regards to and he said it was "business matters". I asked what sort of business matters and he said it was personal. I then asked which of the 5 types of people he listed off that he was looking to speak to, asked if he had a name or any other information, and he said he lost his papers and he couldn't remember. It was urgent I put him through to someone other than me. I kept playing dumb like I didn't understand what type of game this telemarketer was playing and finally he hung up on me. :P
- CThis number has called us repeatedly today asking to speak to the "business owner or big person in charge", when I asked if I could take a message, as the owner is legitimately out, they slammed the phone down each time.
I tried calling back this number with area code 204, then 1-204, and I get a "We're sorry, this call cannot be completed, please hang up and try again." - J - ManitobaWe get calls every few days from this phone # 1-204-175-4115
is being used by the telemarketers/sales people for Cedar Publishing in Alberta (google Cedar Publishing for more info)
the 'sales person' who calls, will say they are calling for CMK which is Canadian Missing Kids News Magazine.
(google that too)
They are trying to scam you for advertising. The call they make is recorded and the main aim of the telemarketer or sales person is to get the owner of the business to say 'yes' to just about anything especially showing any interest in the phony ads being offered. Do NOT take these calls. Do NOT say 'yes' 'ya' 'uh huh'or anything affirmative sounding. IF you do say 'yes' to anything they will forever hound you to pay a bill for an ad they supposedly placed in a newsprint magazine or now the online version. The only thing to do is 'just say no'. And never answering calls from 'strange or unknown' numbers is not feasible for a business that takes orders over the phone. That is who Cedar Publishing preys on.- Caller: Cedar Publishing - CMK Canadian Missing Kids News Magazine

- J replies to ChristineI completely agree! These guys got the number from somewhere and are basically protected by a phone company somewhere.
