Said they were from a credit card company and were calling on card security, when i questioned them on why they were phoning me they did not answer....credit card scam i think be warned!!!

Called claiming to be from credit card company... I couldn't understand a word he said due to poor english. I finally told him that if there were issues to resolve they can mail it to me. After more blathering I told him(not very nicely I might add) to mail it to me. Nothing came in mail, and of course my CC company has my address... so I assume this is some sort of scam. BEWARE. Best bet is just ignore

Got a call from 204-272-9448, looks like a Manitoba-Canada area code, starting in mid 2011, I've been getting them at least once or twice a day ever since.  They NEVER leave a voicemail message.  I'm not answering the phone.  What are my options for stopping this?

Manitoba, Canada, when they first started they said they were from my credit card, I've tried blowing them off by saying I was too busy at that time, but now the same number calls and doesn't even say anything, the next time I call I'm going to let them have it! Big pain recieving phone calls like these.

If you have call forwarding features (like on Verizon Digital Voice), than forward this jerk to 717-338-2533.  That's the FCC Director's office phone.  Maybe the FCC will finally do their job when they start getting the annoying calls.

Seems to me that CUETS will contract with other companies to try and sell extra card protection. The problem is that they will not take no for an answer and if you say yes to them sending you information they wills start charging your card the extra fee for protection until you call and cancel the service. They will not leave messages. Also I believe that they told me once if I hung up if would be assumed that I wanted the service = charges. So I stayed on the line refusing until I convinced them that if they sent me information in the mail it was against my political and religious commitments to save trees and I'd prefer if they didn't. The more aggressive I got with "green policies" and "saving trees" the less aggressive the caller got until finally he thanked me for my time and hung up. Alas, the calls have begun again so I have not been answering.

The calls from this number started about 3 weeks ago. They usually phone twice a day except on the weekends when there is silence. No messages and if you pick up, silence. Got 3 today. What is even more annoying is we have family in Manitoba who are very ill. Each time it rings with the Manitoba area code we skip a heart beat. We plan to ignore them or give them a blast of a fog horn.

Started calling me yesterday, Got about 4 missed calls so far, no voicemails.

This call is from the TD Bank.  They call about 3 times a day.  Finally, they talked to me when I answered today.  They said it was to protect your credit card against identity theft.  I just asked them to take my name off their calling list & hung up.

She said ,i will be in big  trouble  if i didn't  return the call.

They have been calling me and left a message saying for me to call them before they take legal  action  against me but the didn't leave no company name are nothing it is a scam don't answer them

They called i did not answer.They left a message to call immediately before they take legal action blah, blah, blah. They buy numbers from number collectors and harass people hoping to catch someone afraid enough to submit to their ploy. Be Awre

They just called agian and said they are trying to collect  a irs debit don't believe them because the irs never calls

I am getting the same message.  Even saying irs, and to call them back.  So, I guess, this is scam.  I have to try and find a way to block phone call

Just got a call from this number and they said the Rev. Canada was starting a criminal investigation on me for tax fraud!  YEA, right!   Hung up on them.  It was a recorded message anyway.  Take care!

Just got a call from this number. Let it go to voice mail. They started their message early, so I didn't get the part about who they were. They did say something about tax fraud. Not sure if I'mbeing accused or if I'm supposed to be the victim. From the previous posts,I hhink is a scam.

Recorded call from 204-272-9448 .. claimed to be CRA requiring immediate action or be up on criminal charges if you do not call this number back ASAP.  I blocked my number and called .. 3:50 in afternoon.. No answer.. Scam I would say!
