Call came in and a man said that he was confirming a vacation billed to my credit card and that they had called my parents' house who supposedly given them my cell phone number.  They knew my parents' address and said they were shipping the vacation package to my home because he said VISA wouldn't give my money back for this purchase that I hadn't authorized.  I called VISA and cancelled my card immediately.

They called on Monday looking for my husband, I told them he was not he could I take a message, 'NO' was the answer and they put the phone down.  I had just come off a night shift and asleep and they rang again.  This time they just did not say anything.  Tried ringing back, but number not in service.  Getting really fed up with it now.

i got a call from this number at 2:30 in the afternoon, it only rang once and then they hung up.

The phone rang 1.5 times, picked it up... but they hung-up already.
I suspect they called earlier this afternoon as well.

Ya got the call at 9:45 am this morning, one and a half rings.  Hung up strange.

I get this number calling everyday except Sundays!
Called twice on Saturday.
I called the number back and it says it has not yet been assigned!

received call from 474-1473 advising there was an opportunity for me to get a free night at a vacation resort something to do with travel north America (very vague) person (female with accent) was annoying would not take no for answer spent approx 3.5 minutes before call ended. No reference to credit card information etc... I did not let conversation go that far.

they keep calling me at all hours of the day to, but wont say anything. i called them back numerous times also with the same recording " number not in service". VERY ANNOYING AND REALLY PISSING ME OFF!

This number has called us several times. They called asking for my mom and I said she wasn't available but could take a message...they said nothing so then I asked who was calling and the guy kinda stumbled then said "Rogers". I thought this was fishy so I tried to find the number but no listings came up & then I called it and it said the number was not assigned. Obviously this is a scam and I suggest blocking this number if possible!!!

I think this is one of those "prepaid long distance calling card" numbers. That's to say, that anyone calling through a certain overseas long distance provider gets anonymity and this number shows up on the call display. I just got a call from the number, didn't answer it, then when I checked my voicemail it sounded like a European-style busy signal.

Faxing me crap about bogus vacations.  Tried to call the number back and it says not in service.

calls every once and awhile, i answer and no one ever says anything. call back and it says it's not assigned. ughhhh.

called me at 7:00 am  i didnt answer it but the phone woke up my kids tried calling back number not assigned

A lady claiming to be calling from Florida was trying to set me up on an Orlando vacation package.  When I asked her why my call display showed a manitoba area code, she said "Don't worry about it" and I hung up. When I call back it's a not-in-service message from MTS mobility.

I've heard that MTS provides select local phone numbers to be used via VOIP by marketers outside of the province.  It will always be the same phone number on your ID, but the caller may be different each time.  Because by nature they are inbound only calls, you can't reach the caller at the number on your call display.

I've also observed the same trend on (204) 480-1700 and (204) 475-5341.

Unconfirmed, but I have a similar suspicion coming out the States.  Calls coming from area codes 213 and 616 (a rural part of Michigan) seem to host callers from all over the U.S.  Must be cheaper for telemarketers to deal with specific phone providers regardless of where they are.

Had call from (204)475-5341 Monday, November 26/07. Answered but no response from other end so I hung up thinking it was a wrong number or crank.
Had call from (204)474-1473 today (Tuesday November 27/07. Rang twice and hung up. This phone is an unpublished/pay as you go/used only in the car for emergencies, type cell phone.
Sounds like a random generated, let's see if these numbers are in service so we can sell the list and make money from other more annoying people.

They stayed on the line trying to fish in my wife for about a half hour!!!!!!!

Called at 9 01 am asked if this was the business # I have posted on the internet. I joked " it might be". Wanted to know what my name was( I made up a fake first name). Asked what our office number is ( posted on the net as well)  I asked her if i could help her. She said she was just looking for some information. Said Thankyou and hung up.

Called this afternoon, didn't leave a message
