Statistics Canada calling incessantly.

Received a calll from 204-983-8540 on February 3-09 at approximately 7:15PM. Caller advised he was from Statistics Canada and was conducting a survey. No real personal information was requested e.g. Bank accts,etc
I was a bit leary of the call as it came from area code 204 and we chatted for almost an hour with various subjects talked about. I questioned why a caller would call from Stats Canada regarding surveys on a log distance line and not on an 800 number

Woman called from this number at 9 AM Jun 15, 2011, also claiming to be from Statistics Canada and said it was regarding the 'recent census that I completed'. Offered no proof that that's who they were and nothing on caller ID. Could have been just about anybody looking for info. I told her to send me a letter and I might respond, but that I would not give any private info over the phone. She said 'that's not policy' and I would 'not be included' in their survey and not be called again. Here's hoping.

Got called by name from this phone number claiming for Statistic Canada.  She was hard working employee of the government calling at noon time on Sunday. I refuse to talk further. Very suspicious call.

keep getting calls from this number. 10pm tonight. Refuse to answer !!!!

Repeated calls lately. May 20th at 9:22pm, May 23rd at 4:05pm, May 26th at 7:40pm, and again today at 12:32pm.  State they are census Canada. Ive asked twice to stop calling and last couple times I ignore the call. How do we get them to stop calling??

They've been calling me incessantly too.  From June through August so far.  I believe it's genuinely Statistics Canada (government) but they are asking private questions that I refuse to answer, such as the ages and genders of everyone in my household.

I have repeatedly told them that this information is private and that I can't provide it.

Received a call from this number on Oct 13 at 4:20pm(Thanksgiving meal time).  Did not answer.
Left a message stating that this was a call from Stats Canada and they were doing a National Study.
I am to call them back at 1-800-665-3393 and state a ID number....E-and then my phone number.
I did not call back.  Still wondering why they are working on a Sunday.

Got a message today 4:40pm from this number claiming to be Canada revenue agency, saying she want to question about 2012 tax return, strang, did not call back.

Same,I get a call from this number and she said is from revenue Canada, and she knows my address.
somebody know what happen with this?

Received a call on December 21, 2015 at 4:30 pm.  Answered the phone.  They hung up.  Rude [***].

Got a phone call at 6:43PM. The callerid says the caller is from Manitoba. The person introduced herself from Census Canada and asked questions totally unrelated to the census. Seemed like a scam so asked her to send a letter instead.
