    I have been getting calls from this number for quite a while.  I have turned it over to my attorney and she said to tell them to call her and if they call again after I told them I have an attorney it will be turned over to the Attorney General

    Have been receiving daily calls from this number for at least a month.. Never answered.  They leave a message saying: this is Jason, this is not a sales call, it is important that I talk with you. Please do not disregard this call. Please call back 1-800-246-9590 during normal office hours....

    I think this company called me last year about a truck I had repo'd back in 2000. I later learned it was right at the end of the cut-off period where they would no longer be able to collect any money from me. Not knowing that, I agreed to make a payment via my checking account which then renewed their collection abilities for the next seven years. I insisted on a one-time payment and that I would make the payments myself each month rather than an auto-debit scheduling which they wanted. Several months went by, now they call me at least once a day saying it's imperative that I speak with them. I think that's funny. It may be imperative to them, but it sure isn't to me. By all rights, I would have been relieved of this debt if they hadn't got me to pay $50 a few days before the cut-off.

    I have received about ten calls from "ACS," evidently a debt collection service. They ask for a "Parnell Smith." I am not Parnell Smith. I have had this phone number for 24 years, and no Parnell Smith has ever lived here; in addition, I do not know any "Parnell Smith." I have called the phone number noted on the phone id and I have stated the above. It does no good. They should be run out of business.

    This number belongs to AMSHER collection agency. If you want them to stop calling you, pay the debt. If they have the wrong number, you can call them back and tell them to quit calling you. By law, they have to stop calling you per the fair debt collection act -- that is, if you are indeed NOT the person who owes the debt.

    They called for ,"Wong Chater." I think that person is real because I had ten other people from Washington and New Mexico asking for Wong Chater. They called me at least 50 times since July and they keep calling me. I never pick up, but the first few times they called, I picked up, it's always a machine speaking

    YOu are being unusually naive.  They seem to have a history of not caring if they are caliing the correct person, judging from their multiple calls to people simply because the last name is similar.  Do you also expect an insurance company to promptly pay you what is "fair" on a claim...especially if they are one of several companies which use the "Colossus" computer program to evaluate your claim?  I just wish businesses were as honest and law abiding as you want.
