This is Portfolio Recovery,  trying collect on old dead past SOL laws.

Please tell us where it says that debt past the SOL cannot be collected on.  Do you live in Wisconsin or Mississippi, because other wise they can still legally attempt to collect the debt.  What they cannot legally do is threaten to sue you.  It is much, much better to actually know what the law says, and to use it against them than to guess.

EnuffsEnuff did not say that they are not allowed to try and collect on debt past the SOL. They just stated that this number is from Portfolio Recovery who is trying to collect on old debt past the SOL.

Portfolio Recovery.  Trying to collect on a write off from a bankruptcy years old.  Hung up on me when I asked for written proof of debt.

Just called me.  Portfolio has called from every state they have a location in and I have blocked every one of them.  They are trying to collect on a credit card debt that was deemed identity theft and the credit card company closed the account and cleared the debt.  This was from 2007!  Stop harassing innocent people.
