We received a call from an Indian man claiming to be from Windows advising that we had unknowingly received viruses on our computer.  We were suspicious and asked for his phone number and we would call him back.  We would like to verify that  this phone number does belong to Windows before disclosing and info.  Thank You...

Microsoft would have no way of knowing you have a virus and they certainly couldn't call the millions of people who have viruses.  This man is fishing.  It is called social engineering and he is preying on dumb people who don't think things through to a logical conclusion.

Also, there is no company called Windows.   sigh...

Be very careful dealing with these guys!  I was scammed out of money by www.microlinkxssl.com. They claimed to be a Microsoft Certified Partner.

MICROSOFT WAS OF NO HELP AT ALL IN TRYING TO VERIFY IF THEY WERE!!

When i tried to email them it came back on every attempt!! BE WARNED THESE GUYS SMELL OF A MAJOR SCAM!!
They us high pressure tactics and phone late at night, when most people are off their guard!

I received the same type of call from Microlinkxssl.com They said they are microsoft certified technicians. They were aware of my computer problems & also knew that I am using windows7 not xp. They scanned my comp & cleaned my temp files. They charged me 200. Gave me a call back no. as 3152854036. I can never get through the number,its always voice mail but they call me everyweek to get my feedback. I am happy with their services but want to know why these guys have no number to call back when I want to get in touch! Why I have to wait for weekends to get their feedback call.

i got the call from this company they told me that i m calling from the computer maintaince dept the get into my compter and they provided me good service to my system and now its working great.....
as far i believe its a genuine company .....

I had the same phone call but twice in the same night. My husband answered and they wanted to speak to me, but were calling using my Maiden name. When my husband asked what they were calling about they said they were Windows Securities and that we had a virus that could harm our computer. He said I was busy.
Not even ten minutes later they called back and wanted to speak to me again, and my husband answered the second time. They said it was an Urgent call for me, and when my husband asked who the call was from they said "her boyfriend Jack Watson"!!! I couldn't believe it!!! Immediately my husband started asking why they were calling our house and tried ask where they were calling from. He then asked to speak to a Supervisor who could speak English and from Canada and that's when "the supervisor" got on the phone and they said there were from the US, and then he went on to ask whereabouts in the US, and the guy stumbled saying ' ah ahhh New York".  My husband ended up telling the two guys get a life and to stop scheming people!!!!
WATCH OUT PEOPLE!!! Schemers are the WORST!!!!!

I RECIEVED THE CALL FROM THE KEVIN AND HE TOLD ME THAT MY COMPUTER GOT SOME PROBLEM HE GET INTO MY COMPUTER AND THE TECHNICIAN HELP ME AND I PAID $349 BUT AFTER THAT MY COMPUTER IS WORKING FINE .
I HAVE NO REGRET THAT I PAID MONEY BCOZ I GET CALL EVERY 15 DAYS AND THEY PROVIDE ME WITH THE SERVICES..

I TODAY LOOKED INTO THESE MESSAGES AND I BECAME SHOCKED ABOUT THESE FEW MESSAGES WHICH I SAW RECENTLY BUT THE PEOPLE WHO R ACTUALLY DUMB WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW HELPFUL WAS MICROLINKX  TO ME. THE GUY NAMED JACK WATSON GAVE ME A CALL WHEN I REALLY NEEDED HIS HELP.LIKE ONE FINE DAY THEY CALLED ME UP AND SAID THAT THEY WERE CALLING FROM THE COMPUTER MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT I THOUGHT FIRST THAT THEY WERE FISHY "BUT I TOLD THEM DIRECTLY THAT I WILL ONLY PAY U IF U SHOW ME A GOOD WORK THEN I AM GOING TO GIVE U TO REPAIR ALL MY 4 COMPUTERS" AFTER THAT
THE FIRST COMPUTER WHICH WAS MY HOME ONE HAD A GRAPHICS PROBLEM THEY SORTED THAT OUT AND HAD SATISFIED ME WITH THERE SERVICES THEN EACH DAY THEY CALLED ME UP AND REPAIRED ALL MY 4 WORK COMPUTERS AND THE SYSTEMS R WORKING LIKE THE BRAND NEW ONE FOR WHICH I PAID $349.THEY EVEN CALLED ME UP AFTER THE SERVICES AND PROVIDED ME WITH THEIR  NEW PHONE NO AND EVEN I CAN CONTACT WITH THEM THROUGH E-MAILS.WHEN EVER I HAVE PROBLEM I SEND THEM E-MAIL THEY CALL ME UP AND GIVE ME SATISFACTORY SERVICES TO MY COMPUTER WITH A POLITE MANNER.I AM REALLY THANKFUL TO MICROLINKX ESPECIALLY WITH JACK WATSON CAUSE I REALLY GOT THAT KIND OF WORK FOR WHICH I PAID FOR IT WAS OF WORTH.
HOPE THESE GUYS PROVIDE SERVICES FOR LONGER TIME.

Scammers are now yelling at us. I guess they're frustrated that this site is making it difficult for them to infect computers and steal money from honest but unsuspecting victims.

Think about it. Why would a a "happy customer" make a post like this? THEY WOULD NOT. Only scammers do!

I have also received a call from Windows telling me that i have viruses on my computer. The guy keep telling me that it is very danger on my computer. His phone number only have three numbers 205, i can not find the rest of the number.
