I had a text message asking me if I could cater a birthday party.  They wanted 150 pounds of pulled pork.  They then told me that I would have to pay a carrier up front to come pick up the food, and they would pay me with a credit card.  I told them I wasn't interested.  Scam.  

It's a scam, I have been texting with this person for a little bit, hard of hearing right? Can't make the call right? Yeah, people have to much time on their hands..

He was messaging me telling me his name is Loather Humphries, and that he is hard of hearing... Needed to place an order of cooked meat 150#'s worth which would feed 600 people but said he only needed 50 rolls... He is scamming and got nasty when I asked for more information.

This person is an idiot!! Same as above stories. 150lbs of Pulled Pork and all you need is 50 buns. Lol, I told him 150lbs will make 600 4oz sandwiches. lol, I knew something was up!
I told this person to bring my a cash deposit and never heard anything back from them. The only thing I would like to give them is a bullet in the head. People are so stupid now day's!! He also told me he in the hospital that he couldn't come in for a cash deposit. Well that's where he will end up if he ever crosses my path. Thanks for listening and letting me vent:) This was all done thru text and email.

Lother Humphris has contacted me about a house that she has purchased. I am about to contact the Florida and Virgina Police departments and find out what is going on? Reason the cards that is being texted to me are from different states.

Hi I had the same thing happen to my day spa in Texas. They wanted to reserve 8 facials for a day but said I needed to charge the card $1,650 more for the "drivers" to bring the customers to my business. I told them I couldn't do that, he or she got irate and demanding that I take my personal debit card and withdrawal/deposit the money into their account or else she'd have me arrested... Excuse me that's not how things work. Only text/email & also said something about her being hard of hearing. BS HUGE SCAM!!!

Very similar to all other reports.  Text only, deposits and a lot of excuses and sob story.  Total scam.  It was great to be in the middle of texting with this scammer and find this site and hear the same stories.  He is still using the same name, Lother Humphries.  He asked for a favor, tree work.  He said he would like it done before he got back from an evangelist trip.  Then he was in the hospital undergoing ear surgery.  He wanted to get bank, and business information.  So watch this one.  Its all bad.  Thanks again to all who took the time to write up their experiences to warn folks like me.

I'm so glad I found this page, I am right now talking to him he said his name is Charles Eeger and need my Entertainment service for 8 people on April 30th 6:14 am.... AM??? He wants to make payment with his credit card, but don't have Internet, no email address, Paypal account... very weird.... I guess I'm going to just ignore his text messages.

I got an email from a this same Lother Leander Humphries <lotherhumphries588@outlook.com saying he wanted to reserve my photography services for a family reunion of 5 hours...and it didn't come through my normal referral services so it seemed very strange. I guess I'll ignore the request.

I'm a photographer and received a service request via my email not a text message. This did not end up in my spam folder but looked shady so I googled Lother Humphries finding all your posts on 800 notes. Going to run a Norton virus scan right away. We all need to be on guard for all the scamming scum in the world! Thanks for your posts.

I just received the following message from the same guy lotherhumphries588@outlook.com I can't believe it. This person gets on people's sites and starts making requests. Is this crazy or what. Same story regarding his hard hearing issue. Wow, insane. Please block them and make a police report.

My boyfriend received and email from stevencharles599@outlook.com stating his name was Leander Humphries and is deaf and needed his house rekeyed (my bf is a locksmith) and said he was at an evangelist retreat  he was trying to pay 1000 on credit card for a job that would cost less than 300!!
