- wantnocallsSame scam consumer services another new number ---add to blocked list
- Caller: Comsumers services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- LCR| 1 replyWhen I picked up I got a recorded message "This is Bridget" about my (unidentified) credit card. She said that there are no problems with my account but that I should press 1 to talk to a representative about getting my interest rate as low as 1%. (I don't have any outstanding balances so this is not an issue for me.) I pressed 1 and waited. When I got a person on the phone, I told him I'd like him to remove this number from his list and he said nothing else, just hung up on me.
- Caller: unidentified
- CTkec| 10 repliesI am in Connecticut and just got a call from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. Since they did not leave a message I assume they are telemarketers and so I have added this number to my blocked call list.
My phone number has been on the National Do Not Call Registry since August 2003 so if they are telemarketers, they are violating the law.
To block calls like this I got a Panasonic KX-TGE245B that allows me to block up to 250 numbers and/or area-codes. Panasonic has several new 2014 models that will block that many numbers. You simply save the CID to the blocked list. You can also block area codes by adding them to what they call a “Range List” (you are blocking the range of numbers starting with that area code). - Angry as Hell| 1 replycalled no message left
- marla| 4 repliesRecorded message from bridgette from card holders 5 or six times daily I have made a request to be put on their do not call list to no avail
- Caller: card holders
- Larry replies to CTkec| 3 repliesThat's an awful lot of trouble and expense to go to when you can just ignore the call. If you don't recognize the number, don't answer. Criminals don't obey the do not call list.
- Larry replies to marla| 3 repliesThey don't abide by the do not call list because they are criminals. The only people the list stops from calling you are legitimate companies. Charities and political groups aren't bound by the list, and criminals ignore it.
- GeorgeRec'd all ... did not recognize ... so didn't pick up ... added to my auto reject list ... that easy ...
- Bingo! replies to Larry| 2 repliesBingo!!! Criminals don't care about the law and they sure in heck don't care about their they call. Hence, why the number continues to change and why they hang up.
They don't care! You can block and buy expensive phones, but they will still call.
If enough people would just ignore the calls, and stop giving personal information over the phone, then the problem would be resolved.
This scam continues because people keep falling for it. The criminals want you to act on impulse to get your credit card information. That's it. Just theft! And folks fall for it daily, and that's why we all continue to get the calls.
Know the signs. Out of area, fake number, always a recording, always lower interest rate. You should know it is a scam.
Ignore, report, and warn others. - These people replies to Bingo! These people are like email spam! Desperate and relentless.
- Rich replies to J. Smith| 1 replyWARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are B I G credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever!
- Foxy replies to CTkec| 1 replyyou have to renew it every five years for the do not call list.
- John replies to RichThe card service scammers WILL 'service' our credit cards, BUT, when they finish 'servicing' them, they will have NO available credit remaining! People that are fooled into having their cards 'serviced' will be charged a MINIMUM of $795.00, and many times the ENTIRE amount remaining on the card. The card service scammers are a disgusting group of degenerates, who prey mainly on the low income, and the elderly, but will cheat anyone that they can!
- Tired of the nonsenseI receive several calls per day. I explain to tbese individuals that I have a serious illness and that I am not interested . I have blocked them, hung up on them, and I try to ignore their multple calls each day. I plan to shut off my landline phone and just use my cellphone. Thus far it seems to have an unlimited block list. The phone does not ring or even record the call. I can eliminate the problem and save money.

- Ronetta G.| 1 replyThey asked about my gender and age and offered to pay off my debts of $10,000 maximum if I accept to work for them in a massage (only) parlor for up to 1 year with minimum wage. Is it legal? I desperately need money, by the way.

- fred bergSame-o, same-o credit card scam. The only thing that changes about these scammers is the phone number. Pressed one to talk to an agent, was put on hold as the countdown began. Agent answered and I gave her a really sweet BURRRRPPPPP. She hung up. Rude of that scammer!
