205-423-6199

I received a call from 205-423-6199 stating that the organization was the PEACE OFFICERS of GEORGIA.
It's weird because the number is from ALABAMA. I've never given any money to this "organization".
I thought it was against the FCC regulations to call a person who never has given money or any business?

No, it is not against the rules if they are really a "charitable" organization.  However, such "law enforcement charities" are virtually always a scam.  At most some tiny amount goes to the stated purpose, with 90%+ going into the pockets of the "fund raisers".  And if they are crooks, then the DNC probably isn't going to keep them up at night worrying.

Thank you.

I received a call around 9 p.m. I thought sales calls were not allowed after 8:30 p.m. This person demanded my name and verification and would not identify himself. Said he was with local law enforcement but had a 205 area code and we are 770. Then began to ramble soliciting for fallen police officers. We work odd hours and I consider this an invasion of privacy.
