After not leaving a message yesterday, the number called again today. I answered and the person identified herself as being involved in a community project. When I pressed she said she was from the Special Olympics.

My younger daughter took a call that I was unable to answer -- I asked her to find out who it was and take a message.  She came back and told me that they were hard to understand but she thought they said it was something like "Mario Bailey" and that I was supposed to call them back.  She said they had asked for me by name (first & last), but had not left a call-back number.

I did not recognize the name of the caller and had no idea who to call, so I used *69 to obtain the call-back number.  It came back as 205-561-2800, at which point I checked online and found this string.  Not sure what their game is but I did not bother to call back...

No caller ID...no messages

Called at 3:30 today.  (June 11, 2009).  Didn't answer.  Caller ID said 205-561-2800, Tuscaloosa, AL

called at 9:00 on Sunday evening which I think is rude

Couldn't answer this call when it came in but found a message on the answering machine.  When I played it back there was only a snicker and a hangup. This came in on Sunday afternoon at 1:32PM. A check on the caller ID showed this number.

I just got a call on a sunday evening from this same phone number, I tried to call it back, it said my call cannot be complete.........the # is 205-561-2800

Calls our home on an every-other-day basis.  Let the answering machine pick up, but caller never leaves a message.  Frequency of calls is getting old very quickly.

this number calls our house daily or every other day for weeks on end now.  When the answering machine picks up, there is just a busy tone on the answering machine as though they hung up already.  When we pick up there is just dead air.  Very annoying.

I called this number back and heard a message from 'donor services division' with lots of warm fuzzy words about the non-profit organizations that they have aided.

I can only assume that they are a professional fund raiser who probably donates about 2 cents of every dollar collected via this scam.

I'm going to the FCC website next to file a complaint. I strongly recommend that if you got this far in your investigation that you do the same !

Similar to other posts - they call (7:30 p.m.) and hang up when call goes to voice mail but hear some weird laughter/comments just before that happens. Caller ID said Alabama call. I called the number early in the morning and got their voice mail. Charity Service company that uses phone, mailings, email, etc. for any number of charities...so my take on it is they are one of those companies you hear about that take 90 cents of every dollar you donate - professionals at getting your money from you.

Calls all most everyday.  Never leaves a message.  Call ID indicates the # but no name.  Annoying.  Some calls later in the evening after 8:00 p.m. Central Time.

I am going to try to find the FCC site and report it also.
